I think he might be acting this way because Kashima is "the real deal" (and coming onto him) while he sees yacchan as cute (with wild sides but still).
So the dynamics are totally different with this two guys so i think/hope he will end up with Kashima because he is self conscious around him, while he is not with yacchan.

I don't understand what they are trying to do ...
1. Scenario ... they manage to stop eren -> marley will keep attacking the eldians and maybe also use the eldians on the mainland as blackmail source
2.sc. eren somehow manages to make the titan powers disappear -> world will fall into chaos. Neighbouring countries will start to attack marley (since there are no titans, who could be possoble threats) and eldians as well. Since they rely on titan power their combat skills agains human military might not be enough
3.sc. they manage to stop eren and marley and eldian people will decide to each live on their land and stop fighting (which i highly doubt seeing marley-personalities ...)
4.sc. they do the rumbling and will have killed more then half of humanity, but at least they'll be free and be able to live in peace (it's not like i support this plan, because no one wants to carry the burden of 'murder')
Still in some of those cases the titans power does not dissappear, which means that eldians will always stay as a 'threat' for other countries and that will lead to war(to try and kill all eldians or capture them like marley did)
They're being way too optimistic right know (this group that has somehow come together). It's like they have no plan, but are still trying to stop eren. Because humanity has never been kind and there is never a situation like complete peace. So eldians will likely be under attack again.
I don't know if it's because i remember things wrongly, but i think that this is a highly complex situation and eren is doing a cruel thing, but the one thing that would save his people and give them freedom
And how in the world would he make those powers go away? There are so many things unexplained right now and i'm soo confused -.-

I fell they are only trying to stop Eren because of bullshit ideals and societal morals. Before when attacking the Mars on there home content and killing all those people everyone was fine with it, because it helped further there goal. This little ragtag groups makes me even more angry with there hypocrisy with the attitudes of "oh yes we did terrible things but now we are going to make it better by stopping one person from doing something much worse".
Personally I agree with his plan as fucked up as it is I don't see any other way things are going to change unless Eren takes all the titans to the ocean and has them all harden including himself.
I agree because I also don't see any other solution. Eren really tried to come up with a peaceful plan but nothing worked and I hate how they are trying to stop him without any plan in mind.
Honestly i can't come up with a better plan than erens if my goal is the freedom of my people...

Let's say they get to meet eren and he won't stop and they kill him ... are they really thinking that it'll stop magically, years of war don't stop like that
Eren already destroyed some parts of marley and if they held a grudge till now, because of something that happened 2000 years ago, then they will try to get revenge for this as well...
Furthermore how is that weak-ass-marley-commander (don't know his rank) and the titan warriors convince the government of marley to leave eldia at peace after this?
Marley will still try to attack eldia to get those recources and they won't free the eldians living in those gethos(?).
Now they go and kill their friends and fellow soldiers for marleys and the worlds sake... the world that hurt them, killed them and enslaved them. It's just so sad.
I don't think that they'll reach the goal they want. Even if they manage to stop eren, things won't go smoothly afterwards. As long there are titan powers, history will repeat itself. If this manga ends with eren dead and all the countries being bff with each other, then i'll be disappointed.
