I know everyone is emotional and angry that Kouichi decides to go back but it's the most reasonable plot progression if you see how Kouichi treasured his mom and STILL thinks of his friends. I get that his mom and friends would want him to be happy but it's not something Kouichi would selfishly claim and realize by himself. Just like how we assume his mom wanting the best for him, Kouichi in turn also just thinks a lot of his mom, for his mom. "His mom will be dead anyway", I know this is fictional but that's too insensitive. I'm sure if our parents also loved us so much that they died for us, you'd feel the same as Kouichi. He just wanted to honor his mom's death. That she didn't die for nothing... Cause if Kouichi decided to stay all of his mom's efforts for him would've been covered up with something else. Please understand.
As much as I want Kouichi to stay, I knew it was inevitable that he'd want to go back. He has to. But I hope in the future he'll decide to go back to Caius' world and set a compromise. If Caius' does meet destruction, I hope Kouichi can do something to redo the past but also settle his worries left on Earth.
Also I'm sure someone else would help Kouichi realize that his mom would want him to be happy. It'll always be an outside party to help us realize the things we're missing. Kouichi needs more time to know this but for now it's understandable he'd strongly want to leave.
Yep that's what I've been talking about in the previous chapters too. He was still stuck on his mom's death, he has to settle his worries and regrets on Earth before he decides to stay in this new world. He was abruptly summoned so he didn't have time to think about things he left on Earth, now is a good time to settle things. I just hope Caius won't be in too much peril for this...
This plot twist is a genius move by the author. ..the last few chapters showed us how much Kouichi missed his family and friends and how lonely he was when he realized there wasn't anyone else like him there (ie no other dwarves). Still, given Kouichi's disposition of putting everyone's needs and wants before his own, he was trying to learn more about Tildant so he could help Caius be king.; the Kouichi the author created would never ask to go back on his own no matter how much he wanted to..and bam! The author created a reason that fit his character. Ngl I didn't expect that level of writing with this kinda smut.
Nevertheless those who are mad at Kouichi for wanting to honor his mothers memory and sacrifice really didn't understand his character.
Technically Caius pulled him away from the happy life his mom died for him to have for his own selfish reasons. I like Caius, I really do but I'm bothered that Kouichi never had a choice. Caius has been good to him so no one has brought up the old stockholm syndrome argument but Kouichi was straight and now he could deliver a baby out his ass, np. He couldn't leave that place on his own and he was 100% dependent on his abductor for food, shelter, clothing, safety---how authentic is his 'love' for Caius? How real is any happiness that would come of that questionable 'love' ?
Omg you're so good with words. Exactly! Kouichi is very selfless, even going back to his world is a decision he made while thinking of his mom. I feel sad that people think he's dumb for wanting to do that :(((
And yes I was just curious of this manga because of the anime and I'm kinda into huge built and dark skinned semes lately but didn't expect this kind of depth to follow hahaha webtoons, usually jp ones, always lure with smex but then adds story to it hahaha
Yeah ikr I was also skeptical about how exactly Kouichi's love for Caius started cause it was like only triggered by jealousy (after that chapter with the previous fiancé) and maybe the fear of getting replaced after experiencing dependency on Caius.
It'd have been better if the romantic development took more time but I guess the author didn't want to risk losing readers if the sex scenes took too long to enter the game.
Kouichi going back to his world and forgetting about Caius (someone said Caius will try to make him forget) will surely prove to us if he did indeed loved Caius. The author maybe wanted to point that out too.
Exactly how I feel about this. Its not just h0is mother. Yes shes the biggest reason but he got emotional remembering his best friend that stuck with him all this time. To be forgotten by the people that love you and be forgotten by the ones who did, even if they are dead is hard. Hes still just a young adult, just leaving high school and that's a huge decision to make, not just marriage or being with a guy, this is literally erasing yourself from existence to be with someone you love but on the price the other people you also love and have loved will forget you even existed.
