yalllll someone give me a quick summary cuz i forgottt omg, i get the general premise but i forgot why mc hates ml and how they separated?
So basically they were friends with benefits in college, but ml lead our mc on to think they were something more. When mc finally got that realitycheck from ml it broke his heart. I don’t remember the specific circumstance but mc find s himself in ml’s apartment one last time but ml happens to be going through his rut and rapes mc. During this time mc manifests into an omega and ml bites him in the neck so they’re bonded. After the rut is over, mc sneaks out of the apartment and runs away back to korea, finding out later that he’s pregnant and later gives birth. I think mc hates ml because he broke his heart and then never bothered to find him after that whole thing with the rut and bonding happened. Also that he’s scared ml is gonna take his child away.

So from past stories I've read, once another son is born, the two sons are now in competition with eachother over the crown. The Queen or concubine that gives birth to the 2nd son will most likely constantly attack the 1st son to either kill him or make him unable to take the crown. So her son will take the crown prince title and she will have more power over the kingdom.

knight (MC) is illegitimate son of one of masters of Kaisel family (mc's father is most prob sibling or cousin of current most favored concubine, who is now pregnant)
mc will be in trouble warned in earlier chapters is bc he just wants to live quietly but he's put at the center of trouble (by unfairly being put to knight to protect the prince(from jenine family); by maybe being accused of conspiring with kaisel family who is selfish and wants to gain further influence and power in royal family, just because he's a son of a kaisel; he's put in a place where he can't even side with any of the two because it guarantees trouble for him. he's in a bad place with nowhere to go. he will be troubled by kaisel concubine pregnancy bc if kaisel house gains more power and maybe the right to the throne in the future, he will be used by kaisel family more and other stuff like that. he will never be free and will just be exposed to more politics and risks and sht. this is how i understand it. the more power kaisel family gains the less free he will be. wc is what he doesn't want.
MC being a direct son of one of the masters of Kaisel house has impactful power and influence even if he doesn't want to use it, moreso now that Kaisel house is favored by the emperor. from what i understand, kaisel and jenine houses are equally powerful wc is why they are rivals.
concubine kaisel being pregnant is trouble for ML because this baby will be future competitor to throne.
