I’ve mentioned it somewhere else but the brother was SUCH A BITCH at the start. All those achievements, wealth and accolades Hwabu accumulated at the start and yet the brother had NO FAITH in him until he became personally involved via his mother literally at death’s door. It’s cathartic to see him very embarrassed about it now.

As far as I read and as far as I remember, if you don’t mind spoilers:
her situation of her debt is entirely her fault. She procrastinated on working even after her friend badgered her to get off her ass, then she’s rendered homeless. She did somehow inherit a dungeon to live in with a loyal ass butler demon (i don’t mind her skepticism on him. Very appropriate for a stranger) and then infiltrates someone else’s higher-ranked dungeon to poach a demon. She had PROMISED her butler demon not to be reckless and do things her way. But surprise surprise, like with her fucking debt, she didn’t listen and and went off anyway, getting herself in danger which her butler had to bail her out on and even pissing off the very demon they broke in to poach. And she NEVER TAKES ACCOUNTABILITY FOR IT. She makes excuses and handwaves her actions and her butler demon lets it because what else is he gonna do? I never even got to the third member of her harem because they deserve better. She’s not as good as she thinks she is.
Maybe I’m the wrong audience though. If you’re into sassy girlfailures, maybe you’ll like it and the art is not half bad. Maybe she improves later and she just made the most painful first impression ever.

The moment that I made fanfiction scenarios in my head for months! The moment when Baek finally lets his emotional guard down to himself and admits that the old masters he initially thought he just made a transactional relationship with actually managed to worm their way into his heart and finally give him the positive family he always wanted. That despite the deal and the fact they both started off as enemies, he came to care for them and is finally allowed to mourn them even for a moment because a person like him, who had very little hopes or dreams or love, managed to get reincarnated and they, with everything they had that he lacked, didn’t.
