As you can see ik quite dumb at this
he sees the colour green instead of red.
it also shows that he cannot see the blood (jin's whole business involves blood), he sees jin for the person that he is not for the work that he does or he had done in the past. also the dream pills are of red colour and shows the person the life they want but matthew cannot see red colour so the life dream pills showed him is not the life he wants. same for jin as showed in the last chapter- he explains that dream pills does not give you the life you desire

His colorblindness also has something to do with the pills??!!!!!
Wasn't it only him who said it by his own resolve and experience that the dream pill is not what it is??
idk that is what i come up with cause in the scene when matthew in giving him the drug it shows red at first but when they show it from matthew's pov it is of green colour. matthew used the drug to protect jin, not to harm him (even tho it was wrong of him to do that without his consent). also the drug and dream pills have the same effect so they might be related.

And Carsen already started having mix feeling and got attracted to Maythan since childhood (this chapter showed us about it).
