Glad to see I'm not the only one who found her shady, but the question still stands, how the hell did she get the bracelet? Is she the daughter of the duchess? Someone who's using the body of the duchess? A secret twin sister of Ludville? Was the duchess pregnant while she was on that trip? Did the duchess cheat on the duke? Did the duchess survive and marry someone after the accident? What's going on here?

That's a lot of questions haha but as I read the spoilers given in the comments, the duchess fled. At that time she knew she is pregnant. The thing is, this is her way of protecting her family. She was a member of a cult and she was a spy sent to the duke and have a child with the duke and have the child's soul switch with a member of the cult. But Ludville have a protection, like a divine protection (?) that they couldn't touch his soul. Also it was said that the duchess ended up loving both her husband and son so she decided to run away when she knew she's pregnant with the second child. Since she believes that the cult will go after her again once the child is born. (Personally, I don't think that's a good idea at all but oh well, the author wins all the time.)
As for the bracelet, it was given to Rania by her mother (?) but they both killed 3 years before the start of the story. I don't know if they died together or if the duchess died first. Then Rania's body was taken by the member of the cult.

This is just my opinion but I don't think the Emperor is all that bad, he clearly seems very invested in finding his child and I have a sneaking suspicion that the previous iteration of the story was all a scheme of the Empress and her daughter, since it was mentioned that the little devil had charm magic I'm assuming that's what got MC the unwanted child treatment
Now that MC is regaining her life I hope that her biological dad also steps up unlike the past, who knows? Maybe the past dad gets some sense knocked into him and he'll realize that he's being bamboozled, like I genuinely believe that the father was being manipulated and while an enormous apology is needed, I won't be too mad if the MC accepts his apology

Well yeah, definitely against going to the actual lion's den, but what I'm saying is that once the Emperor actually does right by MC, going with him when everything is settled and the apologies are accepted, isn't really something I would be mad about. I think it's possible if they do it right, and not just some lame "Oh I'm sorry for not being there" one-liner before being done with it, if so then forget about it and just stay with the duke

I'm not even gonna say that this man is a good match for Ariel, homeboy is just thinking of locking her up bird style, but I guess in a way none of the other male leads are really a good match for her. I don't know how to explain it correctly, keep in mind that all of the three are just as weird as the other one, priest is the obsessive type, prince is the aggressive type, and the marquess is the non-expressive type, one may be more harmful than the other but do we really have to choose between these lovely specimen?
What I'm saying is that she could always pick Daisy

It's a bit disappointing to know that Ariel ends up with someone and not the whole batch of men just as the tag Reverse Harem implied but good for her! So long as she's happy I'm good with it.
And no I'm not saying this because I want the Demon King to spoil her rotten together with the other MLs. Definitely not.
I know I chose to read this, but I'm allowed to hate what I read and currently I do. The progression of her becoming infatuated with her nephew is such a bad take, I honestly would've liked it more if they were more of a mother-son duo, it's not even about the alabamification of it, it's just a bad pair in general. Like picture this, you are 43 and you see this kid appear who you immediately learn to be your first love's kid with your sister, who bear in mind, begged you to replace your sister in her death mission and you fall for him???? Salt was right, she is pathetic. The story that we could've gotten if this was just the journey of a woman learning to care for him despite her history with his parents, the internal struggle of her trying to hate him but couldn't since she cares for him as her family. I'm just not a big fan of it in general, her and Salt have more chemistry together ffs.
RIGHT??? Salt team to them end
I read it all but didn't really retain much information after 'albamafication' (≧∀≦) I cracked up instantly
