I like how this story progressed so far, pretty art, and finally a father that treats his children fairly, the way the two brothers reacted were also reasonable and the way that the father didn't scold her brother harshly and instead gave it a proper acknowledgement and thanked him for being honest? Gotta love healthy parenting, hope this family stays strong until the end

This is actually good? Sure not really high stakes but it's a very heartfelt and sincere story, MC just wants to live and she does. They even let her have OP magic. To the people that asks why the Empress decided to stay with the Emperor, hear me out here.

As much as the Emperor was a dick and all he wasn't downright abusive and had room for improvement. His emotions are fucked since he's the ruler and judging by the chief aide's comment of having a potential weakness he probably doesn't focus much on the emotional side of things because he sees it as a potential weakness. That chapter where he hugs MC absolutely tore my heart to shreds and it shows that he cares for his daughter all the same, he's flawed but he tries. Don't get me wrong, what he said to his wife after her going through fucking labor should've earned him a castration and I would say divorce is the way to go. But that was when we were only first introduced to the characters and how their relationships worked. I hope they get into detail with the Emperor and Empress after that night more than just with a throwaway joke because while I find it believable for them to make up, the story doesn't give us a good reason to believe that was possible. But hey, who am I to complain, I love this story either way.
