Yep, Yoneda Kou was one of the first Yaoi authors I read, so maybe I had this naive perspective that all characters in this genre would be equal, bad arse, and not conform to these "uke" or "seme" regressive stereotypes. Just interesting stories and complex, realistic characters rather than the whole submissive/dominant, young/old, impoverished/wealthy, power imbalances and rape being regarded as normal that is so common elsewhere. Yashiro and Masaki would break all of those cliches. There are obviously lots of mangas and this manhwa that don't conform to these cliches, but seeing as this one was of the first I read too, I thought it captured emotions like loneliness and trauma, as well as the main plot of yakuza internal conflicts well. Whereas so much yaoi is so terrible, at least with saezuru, no one reduces characters down to being a "seme" etc. Sorry for quite ranty post. (⌒▽⌒)

I didn't catch on to this gem until it was already in chapter 20...I read it in one night and was totally hooked on the story. I'm thankful that I haven't suffered through all the cliffhangers but man am I glad to see my baes together again. My sexy af beautiful sarcastic Yashiro and the most perfect resting bitc h face on a body like BAM, Doumeki.
