So from my understanding Fried1, who MC has a crush on and is super rich, had been in delululand thinking all this time him and MC are already a couple and are dating. So when Friend1 found out MC has sex with Friend2 (black haired guy), he thought MC had cheated on him. And because in high school he misunderstood that MC only listen to him after he is beaten, he decided to make MC go through all this hellish stuff to make him realized that cheating is bad. So Friend1 beats and torments MC because he thought MC was simply a slut that has sex with everyone because he's addicted to sex.. Thus he kept beating him and get others to r*pe him because this way MC would eventually hate sex with other people. And got Friend2&3(dark skimmed guy friend) to assault MC because he thought MC liked them aka Friend1 was jealous and didn't want MC to enjoy sex with the other 2 so he purposely made their sex times with their 2 friend more traumatic and non-con for mc? I'm confused.... How could Friend1 handle MC having sex with others if he's this jealous and toxic?

said by F1 you can see the answer for yourself in the bathroom scene and *cough* others... is that his WHOLE reason for doing any of this is because "its Haewons fault" all because he did it with F2 first before him. thus all the torture and violence.
F1 is uhh insane, crazy, and should probably die from my understanding from the beginning he thought MC and him were dating to begin with (novel spoilers) since F1 knew about MC little secret kisses and knew he liked him just want to play with his feelings for a bit I guess, basically what I got he just wanted full on control of MC since he seemed REALLY HAPPY when HE CONFINED MC for oh how many months? LONG ENOUGH FOR THE SEASONS TO CHANGE!!1!!
(novel spoilers) plus has to why MC doesn't leave is because F1 (SEO HAEYOUNG) has basically brainwashed him from his early years to ONLY RELY ON SEO HAEYOUNG hence the "3 rules" and that's why our pitiful MC lives happily ever after with F1
Pretty much. He considers MC his posession that was stolen and punishes him because he’s aware of MCs crush so doesn’t understand why he would sleep with anyone else. He’s warped and there’s no fixing.
Actually I like how the protag is reacting. Ignores the calls, doesn't warm up to hypocrite guy being nice to him (which often happens in BL webtoon... When the guy asked if he was ok, I wanted to spit in his face because what the f*ck ), still strongly, and I hope forever, realizes what he went through is f*cked up. I actually like the writing too about him having a bit of ptsd. He's psychologically distressed bc of what happened and it is affecting his work, interaction with others and his daily life.
Ok it's unpopular but, I gotta give it to the protag for not going through Stockholm syndrome and "fall" for those guys after what he went through. Plus he did tried to escape multiple times.

Red+blue guy was a mutated zombie and was actually the guy MC abbandoned that somehow survive or revive, got experimented on and now he's unrecognizable and on a vendetta path. Man, I wish some1 say mc is not at fault for the eaten nameless classmates. The guy was in another building! He wouldn't have made it in time.

And if they do, knowing their works' history and people in korea buys still the chapters they published, they aren't gonna stop lol.
I hope people always take a step back before losing their marble over drawings.... the author is not romanticizing r*pe scene, they make it clear its bad, it hurts the protag and its a disgusting act that the protag hates. Remember y'all these characters aren't real and this is NOT a real story. Don't harass the author bc 1) they don't care 2) it's just bad stalking and cyberbulling authors bc you don't like the story, chara etc etc.
In MangaGo, people are always losing their marble over stuffs like this. It’s the culture here. It’s all fictional in the end, and if people are so disturbed that they lost their marble, then the authors won in the end. The worst reaction to any kind of work is indifference after all. But I get why some people are kind of annoyed with some over the top reactions, but in the end you kinda get used to it. Any work that contains any kind of harsh situations always guarantee these comments. Ideally, people can take a step back, but I’m sure that would be hard to do.

I know others hate him bc "It's too late" but I hope they realize the dad/duke DOESN'T WANT to be forgiven by Penelope but just want to atone for the bad parenting he has done. He's being a proper parent that looks after his kid because she is his daughter, period. And he's NOT DOING so because he wants something in return (Penny's forgiveness and love). Yeah, he did a really bad job as a parent but he's redemption was really nice
I totally agree with you. And the emotions he showed through his words, body language, and facial expressions in that latest chapter were just too raw and genuine. One of the best father/parent redemption I've read, so far.
Yeah. His bad parenting is not wholly his fault either since he was kept in the dark: 1) the servants and his kids basically told him Penny was a problematic child and lies to him 2) OG Penny often showed only her worst when he was around bc the harassing was too much + OG Penny never called him "father" so he thought he was hate by her and kept his distance and relies on others' rumors. 3) all the nobles lies about OG Penny being a wild problematic girl.
I think his fault are 1) trusting TOO MUCH the mansion staff bc he knew they looked after his kids well and was naive to believe they would do so for the stepdaugther too. Plus the staff follows the example of his sons that mistreated Penny 2) never tried to talk it out with Penelope, he just gave her jewels and food thinking it's all fine and stay in his study. 3) trust his sons more than Penelope which is not favoritism considering the lies they told him is backed up by the staff that hates Penny.
His situation is very much a "if you're only told lies without knowing they are lies, you think it's true."
... Played well. Successful manipulation and despite his type of red flag he didn't let his emotion leak or hinder his plan.

Usually this trope of single parent protag with absent husband/partner always have the child playing Cupid for the two parent's that are at odds.
