Anyways here's some details and corrections:
1) Khalid's 180 degree character change:
important to notice, he abuse Knox bc he's in a huge misunderstanding that Knox never cared for him and he was thrown away because "he fell in love" and Knox is like know your place when he was a kid. He's a very unstable person and very in conflict with himself which explains his inconsistency.
His entire life revolves around Knox. He imprinted on Knox because in his most vulnerable state ( he was almost raped by Knox's father. After he escape the assault, Khalid hid for an entire week in a closest with no food/water. He also thoughts he was abbandoned, would never be found and die in that closest. He was a kid here btw), Knox found him and promised him he'll always be there.
Being told that he wasn't alowed to love Knox, is the reason he decided to make Knox his sex slave. To force him to love/touch Khalid who also felt betrayed after seeing him being replaced and kicked away after ***many*** times he spied on Knox after he was banished. The webtoon also portrayed this wrong btw. The webtoon make it seems like he visited only once. Khalid visited multiple times and called Knox behind the gates but was always ignored.
He has a very unhealthy love for Knox to the point he took the blame even if he was innocent. He got kicked out because he was accused of stealing a pendant. He didn't stole it Knox told him to get it for him but later said he never asked such a thing. Khalid is basically a pendulum between hating and loving Knox. The one who hates Knox insist on being called master. When he reverts back to loving him, he calles Knox "young master".
Khalid's most crucial 180 degree change of character was when he was searching meds for Knox's coma (suicide after effect) he found out from an old maid that the money and letter of recommendation he got when he was a kid was from Knox and he also discovered that Knox got the whip scars on his back because of him. Knox searched for Khalid after he left the mansion, his mum not liking that, just like his dad, he fell in love with a kid, whipped Knox and threatened to go after Khalid if he tried searching again.
So yeah Khalid felt shit after finding it out.
2) Days tied to the bed incidents:
at this point of the story, Khalid grew to trust Knox and had warmed up to him again. It doesn't happens for no reasons. It's because Knox in his own volition decided to kiss and make love to Khalid. After that Khalid allowed Knox to wonder around and even leave the mansion. He stopped "sharing" him with the emperor too. Everything seems fine and Knox is thinking this is the chance to love Khalid back (he loved Khalid way before) but the infamous horse sex play changed that that mentality.
During this time Khalid asked the Emperor to never have sex with Knox. In fact in the horsesex play, there were no penetration bc in their twisted broken minds if it's objects and hands inside that's not sex. The webtoon for some reasons didn't show Khalid and emperor mast*rbating.
Anyways, the days tied in bed wasn't because of "Know your master! " bs.
It was bc in Khalid's eye that trust he felt was broken when Knox disappeared for a couple of days. He thought Knox run off. In reality, Knox found his only remaining family member (a kid - cousin) and tried to get that person escape the country but he couldn't say that to Khalid because the kid would be found out and killed. By not saying anything and not denying that he didn't run away, Khalid thought he DID run away.
2) bloody whipping incident
Khalid left for a month and left Knox in the hands of the emperor. Initially the emperor didn't have sex with Knox because of the promise of no sex to Khalid. During this time the emperor slowly fell in love with Knox because only Knox saw throught his disguise. In reality, the emperor is not so charming and confident, apart from Khalid, he doesn't trust anyone and is super paranoid.
He even have trouble sleeping. Noticing this Knox every night caressed the emperor to sleep. It is said only then and for the first time did the emperor have a restful sleep.
During this time Knox started doing self harm using the cigarette the emperor gifted him. The emperor, a crazy person, after finding Knox's new habit, believed that Knox was kind to him only so he could get the cigarettes. Emperor felt manipulated and hurt because he taught he was a fool to think that Knox cared. and broke the promise with Khalid and this assault Knox multiple times.
Khalid returns, got Knox's and returned to their villa. During this he ask Knox if he feels something for the emperor but Knox said "the emperor betrayed me first" and left at that. Khalid started having paranoia that Knox and the emperor were a thing before and remembers the ring (knox's family heirloom) the emperor gave him.
He went to the emperor who saw the misunderstanding and decided to threw more wood in the fire (because he felt jealous Knox was taken away) and lied that Knox and him were indeed passionate lovers in the past and that the emperor left Knox first. Thus implying that Knox may still have feelings for the emperor.
Khalid snaps bc he thought all that time as a slave Knox have lingering feelings for the emperor and all that time before becaming a slave Knox was in a relationship with the emperor, while, Khalid, ever since he left the mansion as a kid had only thought of Knox.
The broken trust (escape), the misunderstanding that Knox never loved him, Knox & Emperor being lovers and, final nail, returning and finding Knox saying he stole some jewelry (a lil maid did), brought back memories of how when Khalid was a kid he took the blame and got whipped in Knox's place ( for the same thing). In a fit of rage he whipped him Knox. An eye for eye situation he said ~ then asked Knox to be put in a dirty room and not get any meds.
From here Knox kills everyone in the mansion when Khalid left for meeting with other lords etc. Knox does it to meet belthias (duke that took his credits) and kill the guy after belthias confessed and tried to kill Knox. THERE'S MAGIC in this story btw because Knox has a gem that live stream his every actions to Khalid. This is how the emperor, Khalids and other lords (they watch the scene during meeting lmao) found out that it was Knox that leaked to the emperor the attacks and assassinations.
3) why the emperor treated Knox bad
It wasn't only because of Knox's dad being the most powerful supporter of the first Prince. First we have the first incidents where Knox humiliated him in front of everyone. Before then the emperor prob fell in love with Knoc thinking he was kind and the "most noble person" he ever met (this is a line the emperor repeats multiple times in the story). But after the humiliation, the emperor was furious of Knox and himself for thinking Knox was nice.
Second the emperor is probably not right in the head and certainly is sex deviant. Emperor has no one he can trust, he witnessed his mum being assassinated, he was constantly under assassinations attempts. Has deep paranoia (bruh have servants check him every 3 hours at night), every night has nightmares, believes he's alone ..
This explains why he's so attached to Khalid since he saw that they both share that Love&Hate toxic obsession with Knox. Plus at the start of the story Khalid iOS very simple minded, didn't care for anything except Knox so there was no risk of betrayal if emperor give him Knox.
The emperor has an insanely twisted head he thinks slave aren't people but, objects and tried to impose that mentality to Khalid. But imo the crazy guy has some humiliation/sadistic kink. Khalid is a muscle head that doesn't even know his feelings and is easily manipulated thinking the Emperor knows best.
After finding out that Knox's was the reason he escaped all those assassinations attempts before becoming emperor, he vows to make it right and have the slave stutus revoke etc. Emperor soon regrets this, after seeing Knox kiss someone else (it isn't Khalid).
May seem extra but thoughtout the entire story the emperor have always been possessive. The webtoon skipped some of these scenes like more than once the emperor say "ours" when he refers to Knox. Apparently if it's Khalid and there's sharing the emperor is cool with it...
Anyways the emperor who grew to love Knox after they spent almost a month together, seeing him with other men made him desperate and asked Knox for "Another night". Knox accepts but he will decide the date and in exchange the emperor must do one thing for him.
During this time Khalid never touched Knox. he basically went sex abstinence & I want to redeem myself mode. Knox slowly falls again for Khalid after Khalid promise to betray the emperor. It was Khalid that killed all the emperors supporters in secret. This way Knox would be king (his mum was the previous emperor's sister)with no accusations against him.
The emperor seeing that Knox's promised "night together" never came, his supporters dying one after another, his obsession growing strong, decided to kidnap Knox and Khalid after dropping the "he's a prime suspect". He bought the 2 at the basement where he r*pe a drugged Knox and made it painful on purpose because....
...."if he can't love me, at least I live forever in his nightmares and shall leave a scar that will never heals. Arguably the reasons the emperor is extremely cruel to Knox is for this reasons too. In fact, in his last moments, he begged to see Knox being terrified or feel something as he tries to grab Knox while on the floor dying and having his head cut off.
4) the no villain discourses: NI
The story is more about two MLs that have this toxic love&hate feelings towards MC which further escalate in something more brutal after all the fucked up misunderstandings.
Two MLs that took different approach after the jumpscare of MC's suicides: Khalid decides to repent, support mc, never jump to conclusion or give in to lust. Peltian (emperor) became slave to his lust and his starvation for affection/love. He was obsessive in the most pathetic way too. Like bro's sees his crush is killing his supporters, instead of stopping MC, he just thinks of the time they will f*ck again and to warn MC's, he leaks to MC's spy that he's preparing a luxurious sex chamber in the basement/castle dungeon to scare MC.
So i guess in author's head Khalid was redeemable while Peltian wasn't. In fact, in the end peltian became, an antagonist after he assaulted MC in a very brutal way to create that emotional scar that will never heal. Also Pelthian is 100% a broken person imo. He never repented for anything.
5) it's all torture and r*pe discourse.
Yeaaah the majority is that. But I like to precise that after the suicide attempt, all the torturing and r*pe stopped. Btw there are 158 chapters. MC dies at around ch. 100 after that only kisses and almost no sex scenes. Only towards the end when the emperor snaps and he assaulted MC again. Other than than I can't remember other steamy scenes.
6) Why Knox never talked to the emperor again prior the start of the story.
His mum and dad supports the 1st Prince and in fear the mum harms Khalid he never tried to meet the Peltian.
7) Moral in the story imo:
- Don't have a middle man communicate the important stuff.
- The downside of taciturn & cool stereotype: always have your word mistaken and too open to many interpretation.

Buddy you are even giving people wrong info. Please stop that. I’m not gonna argue for remaining points because your summary is super inconsistent and misread. Well I think you read the novel through MTL so you have alot of your own perception of scenes and acts done in the novel.
Inconsistency of Khalid:
It is explicitly written in novel during the first sexual assualt by khalid and emperor that khalid wanted to make knox in a being who will be solely a sex slace and can’t expect any consideration. He wanted to see him in pain and suffering. There is very minor inclination at two points about his heart not agreeing when he didn’t feel better after abusing knox but he still went ahead and ignored his heart. Once the emperor tells him that knox is his slace and someone who doesn’t deserve any respect, khalid solidifies this concept in his mind.
After this scene he views know merely as his sex slave that’s why he allows emperor to fuck him even if he has to share him, he is perceiving knox as an object. Do you think a person who raped him, beat him, slapped him, humiliated him and let others trample over him loves him? No it’s not love. Knox also says that it’s not love. His 180 degree change is very much strange because he himself agreed that he did all these things because he was angry that he will be able to scar knox through his pain and be a solid existence in his life. He saw knox’s scar but didn’t care because nothing would change now. He was repulsed by himself when he started to find knox lovely and let emperor interfere. His sole reason of obsessing over knox was revenge. In the novel knox himself thought so many times that he was a Slave, a being even lower than servants. He found solace in a small child during the abuse and humiliation. Khalid felt super happy after knox completely lost his mind when khalid let him out of solitude because now knox will depend on him. He even thought that this is how everything should be. He even thought that knox must have felt same after rescuing him from the closet. However we are told that knox decided to save khalid after the closet incident because he could not see him in pain. Can you see that there is a big difference between knox and khalid and their motives. Khalid wanted to possess knox. He was cruel to him because he wanted to be cruel. At the end it was his own choice. He never tried to think that knox only abandoned him in the end but in all other times knox was the once who saved him, who cherished him. Just one abandonment is what took ohalid to hate knox.
Such a person with such excessive abuse no matter the reason can feel remorse just because knox tried to commit suicide? Does this make any sense when he whipped him so bad that knox’s flesh was visible. He even denied the treatment. Him suddenly changing was poorly done.
2. Days tied to bed even confirms that you haven’t read the official translation rather an MTL.
Knox never run off for the days, he only went missing for a few hours to save his only living relative; his cousin. Khalid was informed because of the magic stone that the guard had. Before that incident khalid and emperor had already raped knox two times and let him ride the wooden horse at the time when khalid wanted to assert that he is solely the master of knox. But knox can’t expect any consideration from him. He whipped knox with his belt at the second rape. He humiliated him so much. Fpr the wooden horse scene, knox explicitly thought that how heartbreaking it is that no one is there to help him when he wanted to stop this farce. Khalid and emperor entered almost 7 fingers collectively in knox’s hole and then came on his face after which knox sucked their penis for the remaining cum and they laughed that he is just like a prostitute. Then emperor says that let him fuck knox once more and khalid agrees. They rape him again double penetrate him and in the morning knox had to suck thw emperor while the emperor was sleeping because that was what he was taught as a slave by khalid. Later he had to satisfy khalid too. Khalid just woke up while this was happening and let it continue. Knox completely abandoned his self aafter the basement scene and accepted that his mother was right. He was useless like his father and couldn’t do anything right like saving khalid in childhood or saving his family by supporting the emperor. Days pass the rape continues, the incident of helping his cousin run away occurs and khalid ties him to the bed and when emperor arrives there he let him fuck knox to teach him a lesson. Knox begs for forgiveness but according to khalid it is not enough. He wants to make it clear that he is the master of knox and knox cannot escape. The sex scenes are so brutal that they treat him like a whore by calling him a beast, letting him suck their cock right after cumming in his ass and then double penetrating. The emperor has to remind khalid that knox is not indispensable so do it in moderation.
I’m not gonna write the whole novel here as it is too minor details and people can just read my summary for the gist of what the story entails and how the abuse, regret arc and redemptions or revenge is done.
