Its such a power move and to make himself feel separate and less complicit to what he is doing to him. He always wears gloves and makes it seem like a medical procedure. I think he sees it as a way to create a boundary between them. If he has "real sex" it no longer is a familial relationship and wouldn't comfortably be able to marry someone.

To me, JK's backstory and his current self make sense. Sometimes, person comes from humble beginnings would stop at nothing to stand at the very top, even become a trashy human being. JK feels he have to prove, with any means necessary, that he's different from his loser father. Dan, on the other hand, has a loving caretaker - his grandmother - to teach him right and wrong, despite their hard lives.
