The last story: That teacher is sick! She preyed on the developmentally-delayed older brother who can't even read, write or talk much. She should’ve been the one who died! As for the first story, it would’ve been better with more chapters about their high school days and how they fall in love in the present. It seems like they are already attracted to each other back in high school, but the MC was in denial because he wanted to be “normal,” so he ended up bullying the ML.
I assume Cheong hyeon came back to Taehwa because, before dying in their 1st life, he learned of everything that Taehwa did for him=killing Mr. Kim and dying in the process, beating up his pedo piano teacher in high school (which ruined his boxing career and sent him to juvenile prison), later having the teacher killed, and leaving all his assets to him after dying. He probably realized Taehwa did it all out of love, so in their 2nd life Cheong hyeon wanted to understand him better.
Still, I think the author needs to show that Cheong hyeon felt something for Taehwa in their 1st life. Because after all the rape and abuse, it’s hard to believe he’d choose to meet him again even after learning of his good deeds.
The premise is actually good, but it feels lacking. While both the mc and ml have good backstories, they lack emotional connection. There's a sense of disconnect, not just between the leads, but with the supporting characters too. For example, the two office employees (Taehwa's men) seem underutilized and we (readers) won't feel much if they die next chapter.
Hopefully, it improves.
I don't understand what happened in chapter 3 pages 11-18. If anyone could explain it, I would really appreciate it. Is Narusaya angry and why?
The way I understand it is that Takuma was being a little insensitive with some of the stuff he implied about Narumi’s job as an actor. It’s vague whether or not Narumi was truly upset about Takuma’s clumsiness, but I think he found it endearing (based on his POV chapter). At the same time, each of them have a different take on the situation. Takuma blamed himself more than Narumi did about it, bc he started empathizing more with the downfalls of fame. Takuma’s character flaw to overcome here was his self-confidence; he couldn’t believe Narumi was flirting with him circa chapter 3 pgs 11-18 bc he still puts Narumi on a pedestal too much. Narumi was also conflicted about his feelings. So I think Narumi was clear enough about his own feelings to Takuma, and Takuma wasn’t sure about Narumi’s feelings either, so Takuma’s reaction to the flirting disappointed Narumi.
Sorry if this was too long and confusing!
Thank you so much for your detailed reply! I understood that Takuma was a little insensitive, but I didn't realize Narumi was flirting when he asked him that barrage of questions. I thought he was angry because of the picture (with his sleeves) posted by Takuma. But in his pov chapter he doesn't seem angry, which made me confused. So basically what I missed was that he was disappointed by Takuma's reaction to his flirting, that's why he ended the conversation and made Takuma go home.
Thanks again! I really appreciate your explanation. I wish you always have warm meals.
I only skimmed the novel and it seems good. Misunderstanding plots are always frustrating though. I saw a comment saying the ML (Woogyum) did something bad to the MC (Hajoon), so I checked and found that, at least, it was seriously addressed in the side story and wasn’t swept under the rug. There’s no cheating involved. The ML has a long way to go in terms of character development, but he will fall hard and chase. Their individual and shared pasts are important to understand why they are the way they are (especially the ML). I read half of it through mtl though because the English translation is locked. I can't give spoilers as I only skimmed it.
Hajoon is such a good person, and anyone would be lucky to have someone like him fall in love with them. I like characters like him. Both of them have been through a lot in life.

Lol what is this heterofication happening with our two MCs.
