Rereading this and I just learned from the comments that this has 3 volumes. According to MAL it has 18 chapters. I hope a translator picks it up!

I almost didn’t read it because I hate cheating. Thankfully, they didn’t cheat on each other. It’s surprising how this story still turned out okay despite having so many problematic things such as:
1. The MC brought a stranger home. I know it’s a common BL trope, but it’s dangerous. We could justify it by saying the MC was lonely that night and pitied the ML, since he was also in a miserable situation like him.
2. They started out as FWBs, which isn’t my cup of tea. But more than that, there’s a clear power imbalance in their relationship. The ML was mooching off the MC, while the MC was basically giving him money and a place to stay in exchange for sex. Both sides of that dynamic are unhealthy, and I wish the story had addressed it
3. They only knew each other for a week before separating. That’s hardly enough time to form the kind of deep bond that would explain falling in love so quickly.
4. The ML was a cheater. I understand the comments saying the MC deserved better after his cheater ex-bf. At least the author showed that the ML was beginning to change (he got a job), which gives us hope he’s becoming a better person.
5. It's funny how the MC’s ex-bf actually seemed like a nice guy. But we can see how he didn't like having sex with MC. MC even said he's forcing himself, but he stayed for 8 years? My theory is that he was probably mooching off the MC too, since we saw how easily the MC helped the ML when he was in need. I wish the backstory is clearer.
Having said all these, it’s funny how the story still ended up being enjoyable. Maybe it’s because both the MC and ML felt like realistically flawed characters.
Still, I wish the story had shown more of how they fell in love, because they barely knew each other.
Are we really supposed to believe that the ML, a straight guy who had just cheated on his ex-girlfriend, suddenly fell deeply in love with the MC, who is a guy? Maybe he was gay from the start (he said he didn't feel that deeply for his ex-gfs), but the author never developed that properly.
How could the MC fall so fast when he had just been crying over the end of an eight-year relationship? It’s hard to believe he would so easily trust a straight guy with a history of cheating.
If the story had been longer, maybe this could have been written better.
Noburu has matured a lot since the prequel and is such an ideal boyfriend. As for Daichi, I understand why some are frustrated with him, but I think he’s just misunderstood. Remember in the prequel, he's someone who values independence and hard work a lot. He liked doing everything on his own, practiced to perfection, and cried when his grades dipped a bit. He wanted recognition for his effort and strength, not pity or protection. That doesn’t mean he’s misogynistic, it’s more about pride. For example, just as it’s insensitive when men assume women are “safe” walking alone at night, it’s also frustrating for Daichi when others dismiss his own sense of strength.
He misunderstands Noburu's actions as belittling him and not seeing him as an equal. Which is not true, he’s just naturally affectionate. What’s missing in the writing is the moment where they openly talk about that topic specifically and understand each other’s point of view. Without that, the tension feels unresolved. It's a lack in the author's writing.
I don’t think Daichi is homophobic. The two of them liked girls and only fell in love with each other, who happened to be guys. So no, they aren’t attracted to other men, only to each other. And yes, technically they are gay, or more specifically bisexual. But I think people are too fixated on putting others into these categories when gender and sexuality should not really be that important when it comes to real love.
Yes, sex is important, but what about those whose partners became paralyzed and can’t have sex anymore? What about romantic asexuals? Love these days seems superficial. It’s sad how people care so much about whether you like someone with a penis or vagina.
Anyhow, I think we should stop obsessing over these terms and focus on real love instead, which is commitment, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, and so on. That might sound idealistic, but love by nature is idealistic.
P.S.
@sage has a comment below (6 comments below this one) which explains Daichi's character better than this long essay lol. I recommend that you read it!
This is a cute story and everyone should read the sequel. In there, Noburu has matured a lot and is such an ideal boyfriend:

This is so wholesome and heartwarming. I highly recommend it, especially for animal and pet lovers. I mostly read BL, but I think I should read more stories like this.
Fujiya/Poko in chapter 2 seems like a nice guy and a refreshing ML, so it's sad that the story is underdeveloped. I wish it was longer and made more complex.

Rereading this today and chapter 12 (plus 12.5) couple is so cute. So the oneshot title is "The Rambling Love Poem" which is very apt. It's funny when he said his heart is doing samba, haha.

I can't read Korean, but I checked the raws because the comment below said ML will have sex with 2 women and it's true. I don't know the context.
Warning: MC will be sexually assaulted (given fellatio) by an old man. I wish the author didn't write that.
King spied MC and ML having sex one time. I don't know if he's interested with MC or what. Because there's another character who looks a lot like MC and he seems to be in a relationship with the king.
