This is the single most messy and gut wrenching use of miscommunication I’ve ever read and it’s done so well. There’s not a single person I hate here because they’re all trying their best in their own fucked up ways and I feel for them. Only one I do hate is the late Emperor, fuck that guy.
Ikr, it's like emotions pile up and you make a stupid mistake because you're not thinking, just feeling and boom, more than three lives ruined O-O. Also the empress and the 4th Prince, hecc... I still don't understand why the Emperor hated her so much, there had to be a reason and I as hecc hope it's not because she cheated on him with his son and suddenly it turns out the Duke is his son, not brother. I actually like how shocking the story is, but good gracious I don't understand the early translations that well which leaves me with a lot of plot holes >~<
It feels kind of uncomfortable to read this with the conscious that the OG!FL is basically a bride-prize from a conquered kingdom and that the current FL is basically brushing all of that aside to survive.
Also the fact that her change is so drastically fast and the ML is falling that quickly. That just comes to show that he didn’t truly love her, he just liked her beauty…
So true. Any tropes like this where they already love the OG body but they keep liking them even when they're an entirely different person or falling in love at first sight trope is the ickiest thing ever. How are we meant to find that love genuine at all?

It's because of the misunderstanding that comes after lol cale isn't anywhere close to dying, he was not even hurt, but everyone activates overprotective mode when cale's like that haha
Oh, that sounds fun to watch. I mean it makes sense he is a "weak human". The troublesomeness of everyone acting like he's on his death when he perfectly fine is fun dynamic and I'm here for it.
His blood being shed leads to entire arcs worth of misunderstandings regarding his health. It makes the story considerably more “found family”-esque and it gives us insight into the motivations of other characters.

This manga ruined my life. I yearn for more from this world. It’s so glaringly obvious that Ryoko Kui held back on her info dumping about her world-building. This world seems so interesting and I hunger for more.
(This is also coming from a reader who believes that the thousands of One Piece chapters are not enough. My appetite for world-building is endless)
