what happened when two black cats fall in love together? no one really understands why they are it for each other but they just make so much sense together. i just really like the post time skip developments and how they both grow into a more confident version of themselves and i especially like how mc just take the lead in the relationship she’s gotta be one of my favorite josei protagonist. extremely competent and not a pushover, but really really cute around her loved one. goshhhhh kwon beomjin got so lucky (but hes also really kind!)
frankly the promise of this webtoon is super tropey - the ceo son and the gangster son fighting for u !!! and it could have been like that but the author and the artist who adapted the webnovel took a good care to add layers and depth to it. like the protagonist being not your typical cheerful shoujo one but is rather cynical and unflappable and so so direct and confident despite every shit stuff that happened to her in the past & the relationship with the mom is so complex - the second ml really overstepped his boundary talking about her mom like that (also the attempted rape … begone asshole). i wish we get to know more about ms. kim whom to me is such an interesting anti-hero & i’m super curious of her backstory. beomjin’s kind of the ideal man and in terms of layer mc has more but its so nice to see him being so likable to many others around him - he was such a lonely child its great to see his growth. the mother of second lead is kind of a two dimensional villain tbh but despite the SA i do think the second male lead has an interestingly layered character like yeah hes FUCKED UP in the head something about him is deeply wrong and nothing excused his behavior but the imperfection is a point of interest as an antagonist and foil to beomjin
