Wow, this is really good. The worldbuilding is quite developed (the concept of magic, the politics of the country, the monster/djinn beasts). And I like that it has little romance so far. I'm very much enjoying this as a fantasy read rather than romance read, and I hope it stays that way.
If I got to nitpick tho, I don't quite like how Nadir is portrayed as the absolute evil villain so far. I'd rather he has his own reasons for doing what he did rather than just being whiny "I'm just an illegitimate child anyway~~" and feeling somewhat inferior to his brother.

At first I was curious because everyone seem to have rave reviews about this, but upon further reading I could see why the original publication wasn't popular.
My main problem is the writing. I had to wait for 32 chapters to know the "truth" that has been hinted since chapter 2-3. Meanwhile, what I see is a boorish FL that doesn't seem to have manners, slightly ignorant, and flirty, who also deceives people around her.
Only after the truth was revealed that she was redeemed in my eyes and I felt less annoyed. But then again, I feel like the Oracle thing is just a plot device to be thrown around a classic romance plot but with reversed gender. The Oracle issue is the one that causes the whole thing but it wasn't touched for tens of chapters. So.. that's that.
It's unfortunate but I was just really agitated during reading. Which is a shame because the art is exquisite.
I wouldn't mind William x Charlotte, not at all :)
