The MC really annoyed me at first. She's supposed to be a grown ass woman who was actually knowledgeable and well-read but she kept acting like a selfish whiny little baby without regards of how she was affecting those around her and not appreciating what everyone did for her. I'm a bookworm myself, I devour stories like they're the air I breathe so I do understand the feeling of need she has for books, but come on, there are other more pressing matters. I seriously wanted to slap her into next week a few times, but... thankfully she gets better later on. Still annoys me sometimes, but at least I just want to slap her normally now.

Since you clearly don't know, I'll be nice and tell you: "I wanted to slap her into next week" was a joke. Since when was that supposed to be taken literally? I just didn't like the fact that even though the MC was being a burden to those around her she kept demanding stuff like a brat. I wanted the MC to be more considerate towards her family and friends. How am I disgusting for thinking that? And later on, I clearly stated she gets better, so me wanting to slap her less (which, again, was a JOKE) obviously meant that she starts to grow on me, since she started to realize she was a burden and started to be more considerate.
If you still think I'm a douchebag for wanting the MC to be nice, I really don't know what else to tell you. But then again, I don't really care. I have my opinion of what kind of characters I like and don't like, which btw is up to me, not up to you, but if you think it's up to you, then you're not only self-righteous but also entitled.

Unfortunately her mannerisms aren't influenced by the child. That was all her. The only thing she got from the kid was her memories because i doubt that sickly girl before her was someone arrogant, ignorant and selfish.

I'm a bit conflicted about how I feel about the little sister. I like how she's very determined, and kind. I love the fact that she's just as strong as her guards and all, but she gives me the vibes of someone impulsive. The kind of person who jumps into action without thinking and without being aware of the situation and I can't say I like those types. She also gives me the impression of being someone who overestimates her own abilities just because she has a bit of talent and doesn't even stop to consider her opponent's strength first. I mean, she hasn't done that yet, but she seems to be the kind and I can't get myself to like her completely
