hector doesn't like ellen. he saw lai first before meeting ellen so the first time he saw ellen in edwin's manor, he was shocked. that was why he was using ellen to lure lai too. during that scene when hector laughed when he saw "ellen" showed an emotion he doesn't usually make, he laughed because he found lai finally.

After dokja's death he was described to be to unintrested in anything. And so out of it. He would train mindlessly so that he wouldn't have to loose anyone again like dokja. He blamed himself that if he was stronger and smarter this wouldn't have happened and that why he accepts Uriel's offer to visit dokja in the underworld.
In the manhwa however they might do it like this: YJH is indiffrent. He is just practising and goes to the underworld on Uriel's recommendation because dokja was spreading his name there. No personal feelings. Maybe a 1 frame wide eye shot when he hears dokja's name but that how far i think they'll go.

The Owens feel more like twin brothers rather than clones ngl. They act like diffrent bodies sometime and even have diffrent habits, the scarf owen seems so sweet and lovely while the core owen feels kinda clingy and obsessive.

lol dont watch the live action, its cringe af and leave a lot of important stuffs. imo, for new fans go for manhua -> donghua -> novel. i said this because not everyone enjoy reading Novel since its words heavy.

Good for u if u enjoy the live action. Ofc the actors are good looking, but they cant be on par with the visuals i imagine them from the donghua and novel arts. I'm a fan of LWJ since 2018, and i always see him as very tall masculine beauty guy and very ethereal, and seeing the live action kinda disappoint me and i cringe while watching the first episode and i stop there.
Tbh at first I thought the same and never got past first few episodes, but recently I started again and once I got past ep 5 I couldn't stop watching. Wang yibo, the actor playing LWJ did such an incredible job throughout the whole drama, he's very good at nuanced and subtle expressions and body languages so even if he doesn't speak his eyes speak thousand words, I feel he really got to the core of the character and after finishing the drama I couldn't think of anyone else playing Lan Zhan better than him, I hope one day you can also give the drama another chance, first few episodes are difficult to get into indeed but once you get past that, the acting and chemistry is incredible.
no sorry i did give it a try a few times, and once with my sister who loves the live action but i just cant keep going, its too cringe and kinda dont meet my expectation. imo, fantasy should remain fantasy i guess. i would love a 3D version rather than live action. However if you are cant be bothered and love everything, go and watch the live action. if a lot of fans love it, that means its well done.
so before more people replying about how great and awesome the live action is, its not my taste. BUT I UNDERSTAND that it's well made and a lot of fans love it. If you are fine with live action, go and watch it. However, I do not recommend watching it before you read the manga because it left a lot of important stuffs, and the original story from MXTX. watch the live action after you read the whole story, live action is only a cherry on top if you want variety of MDZS.
