Some of the elements of this story really bother me. Ignoring the nonsensical family tree they got going on. It’s like they’re speed running the story. And a lot doesn’t make sense and/or it’s not explained very well.
They keep adding things to make the MC more OP but they’ve added so much so frequently and don’t bother to flesh out the potential each element has.
It’s borderline Mary Stu wish fulfillment territory.
By making everything the MC touches “super rare awesome once in a millennium” it ends up doing the opposite of the intention and making everything seem less impressive.
Like there’s a saying ‘if everyone is special, then no one is special’.

My sense of humor must really different to others because I couldn’t get past chapter 10 without skipping to see if it got any better.
I found almost every character very annoying. Except the Dad. He is great.

Literally same I didn’t find it too funny at all. The plot was a bit too all over the place and it would’ve been better if she had divorced the emperor and they still stayed in alliance with one another. I would’ve looked forward to see her romance start blossoming with the duke since the emperor didn’t want the marriage in the first place. I get the love triangle makes things interesting but I would for once like to see a story without it. And they missed a whole plot point with having them track down other secret societies in the palace and essentially kinda have her being a right handed knight to the emperor that would’ve been really cool. There’s no reason for her to be empress for her to do that, and I feel like it would’ve created a fun dynamic and more interesting chains of events imo

Like the story telling has it’s priorities
ass-backwards. It’s dragging out all this annoying nothing scenes yet 2x>> all the interesting shite.
Like why do I need half a chapter about ML dragging his ass around and yap yap about his curse pain but actuality tell little about what’s going on.(that’s not true there is some, could be, necessary info. I just don’t give a shite about it)
The second half mostly consists of MC talking to a servant and guessing about the curse which still hardly moves the plot along!
AND THEN, when we finally get to an interesting moment with MC interacting with the ML …..THEY SHOW ONE FRAME of her holding his hand. THEN THEY MF DO A TIME SKIP?!
Can someone curse that man? What’s the point of a world with dragons and magic if POS like that don’t get their due Karma.
There is nothing quite like the pain of having the deepest secret hope you have been holding in your heart not only turn out to be impossible, but twisted into something ugly and cruel.
It would be crueler for Lyrica to keep holding onto that hope though. And she’s lucky enough to have people around her that truly love her.
He better not try to slime his way back in when he figures out she's royalty now.
