I could be wrong but I think it's kind of hinted that his crush on Arimura happened before his relationship with Kazuomi. At the start of ch. 3 Masato says that he had fallen in love numerous times before so based on that statement, and the fact that Arimura was always seme material and Masato was a uke to begin with, I assume his crush on Arimura was before his relationship with Kazuomi.
Everytime I read this, it slaps me to realize that life isn't easy, like, if u (long) admit ur fatal mistake to someone then you'll be forgiven and accepted so everything go back normal.
