So basically the drama that they're producing is heavily linked to this song that has clues on the whereabouts of the mc's father that means the mc listens to it repeatedly in order to decipher the clues, so it has a big role on the plot. Jay needs so much money because he wants to buy the copyrights of the song! without the song there would no drama at all and the old sucm(chairman kim) would eventually give up on it (he's such a smart cookie)
