didn't enjoy reading this honestly. The art is so stiff, the story repetitive and honestly quite rushed too, i finished it but tbh i wouldn't recommend doing so, its a waste of time (￣∇￣")

I don't think Speaker is a spin off, because the Hal/Sam/Nobu have no impact to Hatter. Their character exists in that story for sure. They became driving force at one point, but their world is different.
To be honest, Hatter feels more like a spin off for me.

so.. i just finished reading it all and here are my thoughts:
unpopular opinion but.. i actually didnt find this story to be all that. The art is average but sometimes it reaally lacks in proportions, anatomy and fluidity which makes mort scenes look goofy to me. The Ml is probably the thing i disliked the most, in 60 chapters we saw him make.. like 3 different facial expressions (-.-) He is so stiff and boring, i love collected and cold characters, but imo the way to show that isn't to make them make the same face every chapter. The Mc was fine, i definitely felt like he had a better established personality. I also honestly did not enjoy the main relationship, its fill of constant miscommunication plus to me it felt veeery.. surface level (~.~) like as if the only things the characters knew about eachother were maybe their favorite foods, but oh! they fuck 30 times so ig that doesn't matter!
The asleep sex was another thing i despised, its so unnecessary to include .. hell no Σ( ￣□￣||)
Idk honestly after all the good reviews i expected a lot more.
Lastly here are some minor really unimportant icks i need to point out because they made me insane while reading: 1. MC'S UGLY AAAH BROWS 2. both mc and ml being built like wardrobes even though they're only 20ish and practice sports that would never make them be that size 3. mc's ugly aah bowl cut staying for like 20chapters
I love controversial opinions like this so let me be the first one to respond.
Firstly, you are right that the asleep sex was so hard to read, all readers here might have the same opinion about this. So yeah…I wish we could erase that.
Second, while I love Jeongmin, I also agree that the artist was not able to show much of Jeongmin’s expressions that it’s hard to figure out what he’s thinking in some scenes. I think eye’s expressions could have helped here a lot ~
Third, I can’t really comment about eyebrows etc because I’ve read stories with worse art than this. I think it was somehow acceptable to me (???)
Lastly, contrary to what you said you expected more, I definitely enjoyed this one than I expected since it’s close to reality. I have quite a lot of gay friends around me, my closest guy fried who is in a 5-year relationship with a guy told me that during their early dating stage, apart from their love of “Hamilton the musical”, they didn’t really know much about each other even if they already sleep together for a few months. hahaha
Overall, the build up was gradual to me and it felt like “emotions of a man first time falling in love with another man” was properly conveyed.
I’m in no way disregarding your opinions that’s why I also have some that I did agree. I just love discussions like this so I responded~ ^^

I agree to literally everything. Especially your comment about it being so surface level. And don’t get me started on the ugly ass eyebrows they piss me tf off. I don’t care if there’s worse art out there they just look hideous. I only read 20 chapters and I’m just like “have they even had a full 2 hour long conversation?? Like what are they actually like??” This doesn’t feel realistic to me at all. When in a relationship, you best know who tf you’re dating not just dick size, how they look and their favorite food. istg this story is an actual masterpiece, the artist is AMAZING at pacing this and at panelling, you can feel the tenderness in the dialogue and movements and even the glances. I need to know their socials ┗( T﹏T )┛

I read a comment a few months back about how the ending feels unsatisfactory when the commentor was younger but upon rereading, it made so much sense to the story, I truly agree and had the same experience. I thought it was bittersweet and I didn’t like how it felt unfinished but upon rereading after a few years, it felt very realistic and much happier than I remembered. It made perfect sense with the story the author wanted to tell and I enjoyed the fact that they had room to grow.
