You forget about it for a while and then you remember they existed and reminisce and then cry for the next week that they’re gone and then forget about it again and then the cycle repeats. Wanted to read because of a tiktok recommendation but in the process of reading I felt a constant discomfort at their interactions, mostly because of how much the alpha declared himself as a “guardian” to the beta and acted like his parent (not saying the alpha is in the wrong for helping the mc).Like this could’ve been entirely avoided by just making them childhood best friends and it wouldnt change the story that much and would’ve taken the whole “parent” bull off. The MC would’ve still gone through the same things he did if they were childhood best friends and still depended on his more richer friend after losing his father while still keeping the whole dependency dynamic they have going on. Also, what happened to the discomfort that was happening after the whole reveal of the beta crushing on the alpha? The story presented it but quickly washed over it and out of nowhere they suddenly they turned into love birds. Like huhhh??? I know this is just another bl in the sea of thousands that are pumped out yearly but this one for some reason made me mildly frustrated enough to type.
If you’re enjoying this BL then more power to you, but personally, not my cup of tea.
okay you’re literally saying ‘if this trope manhwa didn’t have this trope then it would have been great’ like i understand this trope makes you uncomfortable but this is one of the points of this story. it’s a whole subgenre in BL and enough people like it where clearly it has a community who reads it.

The trope I was interested in seeing was the alpha being in the bottom because in the omegaverse its common to see the obvious opposite, trust me if I were to know that the whole story would follow with the “guardian”/parent thing I would’ve not even touched it from start to finish, thats why I even gave it a chance by reading it all so I could properly opinionate and assess without missing information. Don’t assume what “trope” I had in mind when I never stated it in the first place and also I could’ve not even known what type of troupes it would’ve had either way because there was no summary under the manwha to begin with, and I doubt I could’ve guessed purely with the cover. Also, I commented my first message to see if any others shared the sentiment and by seeing by the likes on my comment it also seems like I wasn't the only one who shared the sentiment. Again,I have nothing against the people who enjoyed it but as you stated it yourself, I am completely free to complain about a manwha that I did not like.
