Ngl, I thought it would just be a story about a player seme and naive uke who has sex and fall in love. But it actually has a decent plot. The seme's actually a lot nicer than I thought he would be. But there's a lot of drama coming and lots of mini plots. The second "couple" seems to be a bit sad and toxic, so I'm not really feeling them lmao. This story isn't that interesting to me, but I'll still read it to see how it goes.
This story was one of the first shounen ai manhuas I ever read, and I love it so much I know ppl hate the slow burn romance, but I actually like it. Even tho it takes like 100 chapters for them to confess their love, I have a lot of patience and love the build up. It's a nice break from yaoi where they fuck and fall in love.
But there's one thing I really hate... It's the fact that almost no one ever tells Yiyi important information. Like, he's the MC, but literally knows nothing about what's going around him. Especially Feng Jinyao (ML), he deceived Yiyi from the very beginning and even swapped the embryo. Yiyi was so sad when he found out Rou Rou wasn't biologically related to him, but I'm glad he stood his ground and said that Rou Rou is HIS child and Feng Jinyao CANNOT take Rou Rou away from him.
And Feng Jinyao is always hiding something from Yiyi. I know most readers loved when Feng Jinyao took custody of Big Head (Yiyi's lost embryo/baby) but HE DIDN'T EVEN TELL YIYI!! YIYI'S FAMILY DIDN'T EVEN TELL HIM. NO ONE TELLS HIM ANYTHINGGG!! BRUHH, I was so frustrated when Feng Jinyao and the He family just told Yiyi that he's Big Head's biological father.
It's just so annoying how everyone solves an issue that involves Yiyi WITHOUT EVEN TELLING YIYI THE PROBLEM. FENG JINYAO LITERALLY PROMISED NOT TO KEEP ANY SECRECTS FROM YIYI, BUT THEN DOESN'T TELL HIM THAT BIG HEAD IS HIS SON UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH LATER WHEN HE GETS BIG HEAD FROM HIS AUNT!!! Feng Jinyao fucking told Yiyi's uncle and grandpa first before Yiyi!
I know Feng Jinyao tried to tell Yiyi ONCE before... IN A FUCKING DREAM! Like, how about telling Yiyi about his son in real life?! Let him know about the situation!! Feng Jinyao was able to sit down with Yiyi before and have a proper conversation. He had about a month to tell Yiyi about his baby, but didn't say shit! Feng Jinyao, u fucking dummy!
I know this is a comedy manhua, but Feng Jinyao is forgiven too easily. Yiyi needs to slap Feng Jinyao's face or punch his guts! Do something! Yiyi has no choice but to accept what Feng Jinyao's done bc it's become Yiyi's responsibility now as well. I know they made Yiyi kinda dumb and naive for the comedy, but it's still frustrating that everyone tries to keep information from him to "protect" him :((((

Then beginning of S2, he's falling for him pretty quickly after they fucked?? Like, the uke gotta be headstrong if he doesn't wanna keep being used by the seme like this.
But if he's falling for the seme this quickly, sorry, but he only has himself to blame if he's played and thrown away by the seme The uke really gotta make the seme work for his love and has to kinda break the seme's heart a little before they can actually be in love.
Be patient. Jaeshin is already transforming into a lover boy. I don't want to spoil it for you but if you read the last raws you'll be surprised at how different and careful he acts.

I know. I've seen many stories of the seme being "self-centered" and "arrogant", but is actually looking after the uke and watching his actions. We even saw the seme looking after the uke when he was hurt, which was actually pretty cute.
But does that justify seme raping uke? No. Even tho he's not human and doesn't technically follow human laws, raping him to ward off other bad ghosts is still morally wrong to the uke. And like I said, the uke seems to be "falling" for the seme after they fucked in S2. "Why do I keep thinking of him?" Showing that the uke is developing some sort of feelings already.
Like bruhhhh, howwww??? Authors always make the uke so dumb and kinda naive that it's hard for me to feel bad for the uke when he's so simple. I know we all want them to be a cute couple already, but the progression has to be good as well. So imo, it would be better if the uke really doesn't develop feelings for the seme, while the seme catches feelings but uke doesn't reciprocate his feelings at first.
Idk, maybe I just want more drama between them because their personalities are so different and the seme obviously controls this relationship. We see the uke be very vunerable with the seme, like most stories, but we don't see the seme be vulnerable with the uke often. And I like this story, but it's just another trope of "innocent uke and broken seme" where the seme has control of the uke's situation and they later fall in love.
Bruh, wtf is the plot even?? Like, there's really no story telling here and the uke is such a white lotus. I feel so bad for him, but he's such a dum dum I know we shit on the art style, but I kinda like it. Obviously, the body proportions makes me wanna puke, but I like the eyes and some of the shading.
It's so shit bro, getting thru one chapter is a struggle. I do wanna know how the story ends; not gonna read it, I'll just see the final chapter when it's out or smth.
Unpopular opinion: A smut scene can ruin the flow/plot of the story.
Ngl, the random fuck scene was hot. But it ruined the flow of the story for me. For certain BL stories, smut is how the characters and story progress, but I don't think it fits this story.
I rlly like this omegaverse BL manhwa bc the MC's and ML's first encounter was really interesting. And I liked the progression of their relationship. I think it was at a good pace, until they fucked. I feel like they could've progress their relationship without a smut scene. Idk why the fuck scene just messes up the flow of the story for me lmao.
Anyways, recessive omegas apparently can't get pregnant in this story, so our MC is fine. Maybe we'll see more intimate moments between our MC and ML now since they've fucked, or there will be misunderstandings and drama.

Holy shit bro, I'm honestly so impressed with the depiction of sexual assault and trauma. In so many BL stories, when the uke has been sexually assaulted or even raped, the seme saves them and then has sex afterwards :/ The smut after a sexual assault/rape scene in a BL story completely kills the tension in the story imo
BUT in this story, when Sooyoung (MC) was sexually assaulted and almost raped, Jihwan (ML) does save him. HOWEVER, Jihwan doesn't help Sooyoung's situation by having sex with him or forcing himself on Sooyoung.
Jihwan lets Sooyoung stay at his house, protecting Sooyoung from that mother fucker Gyujin. Jihwan gives Sooyoung time/space to himself and Sooyoung is able to rely on Jihwan when he's panicking/mentally stressed. Sooyoung also shows fear and anxiety when he thinks of the attempted rape, which makes the tension stronger imo.
Jihwan is manipulative, clever, and also seems to be taking advantage of Sooyoung's situation to make Gyujin angrier/lose his composure and to make Sooyoung depend on him more. BUT AT FUCKING LEAST HE DOESN'T DIRECTLY HURT OR RAPE SOOYOUNG and is actually protecting him. Unlike so many other manipulative asshole semes in other stories.
As long as Jihwan doesn't hurt my baby Sooyoung and makes him happy, I won't imagine myself cutting of Jihwan's dick and I won't lower my rating on this story :3

It's actually taken more seriously and, as I said before, it isn't resolved through sex like most other stories. The readers can really feel Sooyoung's anxiety and fear of Gyujin.

But this story shows the 2 semes actually liking each other and actively showing affection for both the uke & other seme, so that's something I rlly like.
