Its bc the plot is a typical yaoi cliche: bad guy does smthg cruel to uke then shows sad backstory and sometimes treats him well -> uke forgives him
No no, not just because of plot (cause there's a lot similar stories plot wise), I mean that characters are familiar too (like how they're part animals, and that uke isn't herbivore)

There are lotsa mangas like this, wolf uke x big goat seme, fox uke x rabbit seme, I dont remember the names. But they have a herbivore seme who isnt part carnivore, that and the outerspace mission thing r the only distinctive points of this manga
