i read the first chapter thinking it was gonna be cute little story about how a gay dude finds out he’s preggers with a one night stand. turns out it was his r*pist of a sunbae instead and the worst part is that aside from the handful of those with an actual moral compass that read bl on a basis of good plot and not just the fetishization of gay men, most post i saw were completely fine with the obvious rape in this.
i understand (although i hate to admit it) that dubcon is usually an obvious go to for most bl comics. however, this guy was flat out drunk and no matter what way you look at it, that sunbae of his was giving him drink after drink with clear intentions of hoping he passed out. otherwise, what? cause in none of those panels did i see the sunbae drink more than one cup (if that??)
i got to chapter four and realized i just couldn’t deal with this mess. the so called friend basically flipped between telling him there’s no way a guy would want to mess with him cause he’s ugly, to basically not caring at all aside from saying he’d deal with it? anyway, yeah wasn’t a fan.
The author doubled back on that night either before or after showing their relationship prior to it. Long story short, Hosik actually did like sunbae as more than a friend, but by the time he realized it, he began pushing sunbae away to avoid being judged for being romantically close with a man. Sunbae was determined to chase him. That night of drinking, Hosik confessed his feelings and sunbae kissed him. He was okay with the bedroom events until after he passed out and woke up panicking.
Things that weren't really said but is a thing: despite their cute love life, sunbae is a yandere. He settles down a bit over time after Hosik complains about his ways and after that point, sunbae only gets crazy when Hosik is pregnant (again).
In a Q&A, people have asked if they ever had interest in the same sex before and how was sunbae like in his previous relationships before Hosik. The author said both are originally straight and still don't see the same sex the way they see each other and that sunbae was normal in relationships with women before Hosik. Which means that Hosik, his destined partner, flipped a switch in him (they are destined partners through the red string of fate)
uh?..does no one realize that the problem was legit never solved? it ended with “let’s have sex that’ll show you I’m gay.” like??? wtf is that..it’s was like a bad car crash, i just couldn’t look away even after constantly yelling about how illogical this was, not to mention utterly ignorant. author acts like bisexuality or pan isn’t a thing?? either of those would quite literally fit this guy..i even had the stupid hope that when he asked about it online that one of the comments would be someone informed and actually make this make sense, but alas. it ended with “let’s have sex, that’ll show you I’m gay” to solve a damn problem. the constant talk of “turning gay” really pisses me off to no end, but i guess if you’re only here because it’s bl and nothing else then plot and sense mean nothing. plus, is no one at all concerned about the fact that stalker boy was literally just constantly there and then it ended without even solving that? or the fact that the younger 20 year old friend was crazy homophobic but it’s fine because he’s not used to being around “gays” like they’re some alien species? sucks that i actually want a good bl that’s not just a damn ploy just to get a bl couple. make it make sense. any who, I’ll stop cause clearly no one else will care or even agree

Okay, I found my favorite webtoon. Hands down the softest sweetest webtoon I’ve read in forever. The plot didn’t ramble and was very clear cut and crisp , the conclusion didn’t leave me feeling off centered or like something was missing. Ugh I loved it and I love them and I’m sad it’s ending

Well one thing is for fucking sure, at least I’m not the only one utterly confused. I’m kinda annoyed, it kept jumping around and kept showing him in a female light For why? Who knows. Everything was just confusing and never clearly explained. Now what.
This is probably one of the cutest things I’ve read in a while. I liked the unrequited love aspect that didn’t just suddenly resolve itself after sleeping together or with exposure. I liked the time skip aspect too. This was so cute wish there was more.

i absolutely loved this story. everything about it was so painful and heart wrenching but it constantly made me feel like as long as we keep trying and keep moving forward, healing is possible. it’s not something i ever thought possible, but this story really made me wonder.
the one thing that i will say is that the only unrealistic thing about this is that there’s no way he would have been clean. like, with all of those people forcing themselves on him he would have needed to be checked for any number of stds sti’s. but i know that was secondary to the overall plot so i wasn’t too hung up on it.
on another note, i agree with one of the other comments i kept thinking one of them was gonna die. it gave me very much banana fish vibes and i kept braces myself for it so that i wouldn’t be as emotional when it happened. (fuck you banana fish I’m still upset!!) but yeah, anyway overall it was an amazing read. highly recommend that idiots with poor comprehension or those that are simple minded fujoshis just looking for two men having sex with no real plot or depth to it go read something else. this take sympathy and understanding that this is a real life situation that can and does happen to real people. thanks.
