cain is so similar to canis which means dog in latin so i already assumed he was jooin's past life dog when he was first introduced also because i read this author's previous work and i know they love supernatural elements so all those sniffings calling jooin master etc were normal to me tbh i didn't expect this many people to get surprised i always thought it was very obvious
