Is enough to tell us haesoo/joowon is not endgame, how many manga/manhwas have ended with the mc being in a relationship with the person standing behind them instead of the person in front of them? I feel like it’s drawn with message in mind that the person behind is their past and the person in front is their future. Obviously I’m not being super serious but I looked at couple of other covers with love triangles and they are going to end up with the one in front of them (ex: “from points of three, devils temptation, back to school, the wolf king” most of these haven’t ended but it’s pretty obvious they will end up with the person drawn in front of them on the cover)
but then say chiwoo was leading him on in the past which caused jihyun to assault him, now that chiwoo is actively rejecting jihyun so that jihyun doesnt get lead on, chiwoo is again the one to blame and jihyun is the pitiful one? make it make sense. yes, its sad what has become of their friendship but jihyun is obviously messed up from abuse from his dad and is now unable to control his own violent impulses. also, lets be honest jihyun was a bully when they were friends and still is. he was beating up people for no reason then, not just the ones who got close to chiwoo but just random kids that he and his lackeys liked to pick on. chiwoo looked past all that and continued to be his friend presumably because he knows jihyuns home life but in the end jihyun assaulted him enough to send him to the hospital and is still threatening to harm anyone who gets near chiwoo. i dont hate jihyun even if there is reason too but come on, hes been far from a good and worthy friend

im not saying jihyun wasnt a bad kid but hitting your kid so that they come to school with a patch on their eye and bruises and scratches on their face and body is not necessarily good parenting and imo abuse, some parents believe disciplining kids involves spanking etc, (which i dont agree with btw) but long lasting injuries are far from even that kind of dscipline

The twin hajin met in high school was hangyum but the twin who went to school at the same time as hajin is the twin we haven’t seen yet. Maybe hangyum wasn’t in school for whatever reason but liked to sneak onto campus and pretend to be his brother. I have a feeling the other twin doesn’t really know hajin. I know bisexuality and pansexuality exist but if unknown twin was the one in high school who flirted with hajin i just get the feeling he wouldn’t have a serious girlfriend lik he does now. I've said it before, unless it's like the plot of the prestige ( the movie with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman) , even if they were twins, unless it's the same twin from the flashback it would be impossible for him to know all the little things that make hajin tick. taku and haesoo will probably officially get together in the future and not now. there also looks to be zero chance of joowon/haesoo being endgame. if you noticed, ever since haesoo regularly started sleeping with taku, we haven't seen (at least from what we are shown) haesoo and joowon ever sleep together again, which to me hints that haesoo is drifting further from his attachment to joowon and closer to taku. if joowon and haesoo were to sleep together again or if joowon tried to, i dont think haesoo would enjoy it whereas he seems unable to keep himself from getting attached to taku during sex. honestly, i dont think anyone would agree but, i wish there were more back and forth btween joowon/haesoo and taku/haesoo, for essentially all the chapters since taku/haesooo started sleeping together we've seen only them having sex and most meaningful interactions happen between them now, which in a love triangle story seems a bit less exciting lol. joowon and haesoo dont do anything together or even talk much, their interactions are very limited now
yeah, im curious where you see any chance for joowon/haesoo endgame, im open to them being endgame, ive just come to the observation that the author was starting to shift relationship focus to taku/haesoo. they are going to be step brothers again soon, and i feel like by the time joowon is honest with his feelings for haesoo, haesoo will have already decided that joowon is not the only one for him. its clear that taku is different than haesoos other flings, you can see how cold he was with the first fling we saw, whereas with taku he even allowed him to come to his house and nurse him which he himself said hed normally never allow and even though he was sick, im sure he wouldnt allow that with his other flings. like i said, i dont favor either side, im just preparing myslef for what i think is to come

The main couple have been jonwoo/haesoo from the beginning and haesoo has been getting with taku to distract himself from the fact he loves jonwoo more. i have a soft spot for the childhood friends to lovers trope and thats why its so hard to completely hate the relationshp between chiwoo and jihyun. ultimately, i know chiwoo and kyujin are end game (strong assumption) and i fully support their pairing but with the author continuing to show the strong bond between chiwoo and kyujin in the past and also...spoiler........that chiwoo and kyujin have been friends since they were smaller, it makes it difficult not to feel pity for a relationship that could have been had jihyun not become extremely possessive and abusive
remind me of he tian and his brother from 19 days, their older brother dote on them even though they can be troublemakers, although he tian is obviously nowhere near as violent or troublesome as jihyun

it's not love. it's obsession. This author in particular has a track record of this seen in their previous work as well. It's not surprising a good majority of webtoons use this method to express passion. I've noticed this and have seen that it has become a pattern if not only a generic standard to move a plot along. Make Me Bark, Love is an Illusion, Window to Window, Lover Boy, etc. I could go on. It's the concept of "love makes you crazy" but validating it as an aspirational or even desirable form of romantic love that embodies 'devotion'. It's not a healthy form of love and should not even remotely be considered one. And it bothers me that this has continued to be seen as otherwise because these authors continue to depict them positively, regardless of the harm that befall their characters or how readers begin to identify with these depictions as a normal communicable love language.
