As a person who has had dealt with abandonment by abusive parents, I have had people who actually cared about me be happy that the toxic people weren't in my life anymore. Sometimes the joy of someone being out of an abusive situation wins over the empathy with that person in the moment. And Sihwa already had empathy issues from the start. I want to think it is a naturally less empathic person thinking a good thing has occurred, rather than Sihwa going down a route of an abusive controller.
