Ahhh little mo trying so hard to not fall but failing oh so slowly this is the kind of slow burn that I kind of miss
(Side note: i haven't been keeping up since December 2020, so there are some things I'm gonna type out that's related to the prev chapters. TRIGGER WARNING: Following paragraphs may contain trigger words.)
I can kinda understand Mo's pov tbh. He Tian does some shit all the time and he tries to do something that's about to cross the border line (like those times he forces himself on Mo? Not cool. Very rapey.) and I can totally understand why Mo would want to distance himself from He Tian or get angry at him. I would too! But then does this shit that melts your heart by being open and vulnerable in front of you (in this case, Little Mo) and suddenly, you're struggling internally. Your brain says what he did was not cool, you should still be angry! But your heart is already swaying and aching for the vulnerable man in front of you. Man, I wouldn't be surprised if Mo says "you're unfair" to He Tian someday. Cuz he really is.
But they probably both are? I don't know anymore. I'm too invested in their push and pull. I can forgive/overlook Little Mo resisting for some reason -- because of his past, his background, his current reputation, and his uncertain future. plus he's probably still guilty about everything he's done and every worry he's caused his mom, so he's understandably an emotional wreck with a poor self-esteem. It's probably why it's not easy for him to just be selfish one more time and pursue a hobby or passion like learning the guitar cuz he thinks he doesn't deserve it (yet). I think Mo's scared of trusting anyone and letting He Tian in, too. Too scared to dive right in in whatever they have.
But He Tian getting impatient and acting recklessly and forcing himself on Mo?? I get somewhat disappointed on him cuz I expected better from him. I'm just he hasn't truly gone out of line (yet and hopefully never) cuz poor Mo has already dealt with so much abuse and violence. I'm okay with him pushing a little more strongly from time to time (cuz we all know Mo's suitors can't come on weakly or else they'll never get passed his walls) but within a limit that won't make him the same as everyone else, lik She Li.
