Ah~ puberty~ bittersweet unavoidable awkwardness

Anidict13 October 8, 2019 10:45 pm

I really don't understand how dissociation works but hot damn. Those were heavy, deep analogies.

It broke my heart when America grieved. Even though they're immortals, it was still like watching England kill himself twice.

Haha that's cute. But don't throw her out tho -- a psychopath is after her.

About time you start missing dojin

Awww I'm feel kinda sad now..

Anidict13 September 30, 2019 11:28 pm

Oh Haru. It's always you.

He might be half-alpha, half-omega.

Omg he might be half alpha half omega. Body, strength and temper of an alpha, sensitivity of an omega. Doyun might actually have a sunny personality, too, that he just hides, based on the happy faces and fluffy aura he emits sometimes recently, and the usual couple photo at the end credits. How interesting~ Doyun sounds real cute~ now if only he wasn't so tsundere sometimes...

I remember him saying in the beginning he was half-omega. It hasn't been mentioned if he is half-alpha, but it's kinda been hinted at that he is. Which I absolutely love seeing the characteristics of both omega & alpha w/Doyun!

Right? They keep saying he's half omega but what about the other half? They keep leaving it blank when it could have explained Doyun's physique and strength from the beginning instead of stressing over why he was developing late as a half omega

I understand this "Half-omega" as incomplete on Doyun's part. Not Half something else.

Like in a study I read talking about women in Sicily that are only half-women because they can't give birth. And only those who gave birth are considered complete women. I find it fits Doyun's description quite well.

He can't give birth until his pheromones came and because he fell for a man, his body is developping to be able to create life and become a complete person, a complete omega.

Ha, I love this story too much (▰˘◡˘▰)

Oh! That’s an interesting way of putting it! I bet that’s it! It’s kinda sad that that’s how he viewed himself, as incomplete. Our poor boy!

I know, I love this story too much too. Probably to the unhealthy addiction level! It’s just really different in execution, for a yaoi and for an omegaverse!

It's not just that he can't give birth, he couldn't feel pheromones, had a different body type, didn't have heat.... when he finish explaining his situation he even says "half omega is generous". To me, it's pretty clear that he is a full omega, but on paper only. Till Taehan wakes him up

Oh, that does make sense! It was weird how they keep emphasizing "half omega, half omega" in the story and I just couldn't comprehend how he could be half something and half "nothing", genetically speaking. It's like saying you're half American but then leaves the other half of your genetic make up/identity as blank or 'nothing'. It's weird. Your term "incomplete" is a more fitting description/analogy, indeed.

It confused me a lot because, I understood how they have 2 genders/identities: human, male/female, and then their 2nd gender, alpha, beta, and omega. They could be a (human) man or woman and an alpha/beta/omega at the same time. But it's so bizarre when you're a man and a "just half" omega -- half omega but half nothing! A part of your identity is missing or incomplete! That can't be right?

Can genetics be like that? Is it possible for you to be this incomplete? But if it is (since this is fiction and it's not like the whole storyline and background of lore has been revealed yet), I can understand now why Doyun's so subconsciously insecure and distressed about his omega identity. Why everyone around him wanted him to develop normally as an omega rather than stay dormant and un-omega like.

That makes sense too! He could be a full omega, just labeled as half because of his dormant omega qualities.

But why were they dormant in the first place? Why did he grow with an alpha physique and strength? Is that how it is when people's second gender lay dormant during their body's development or for the majority of their lives? Or is it because he has 2 second genders fighting for dominance? A dominant alpha gene and a recessive omega gene?

Honestly, Doyun's case intrigues me more than their romance sometimes hahaha

I think it's the omega who's weak for the alpha to be honest. He tries to run away and deny his own feelings but in the end he's defeated and he's forced to realize and admit his own feelings for his alpha, all on his own. The alpha didn't force anything on him -- he didn't push aggressively but gently, and that was charming to watch. The alpha may seem pitiful but I think he was pitiful because his ideals and feelings were denied and rejected, not because his omega won't quit his job and go exclusive with him.

Dan met and fell in love with a gigolo -- he knew Hikari was a gigolo before anything started and he knew what goes on in that line of work. Of course Hikari won't quit the job he genuinely likes for someone he just met. The job where Hikari felt he finally found a place he belonged to and grew out of his shell. The job he associates with his identity as a person he's actually proud of. And he won't quit when he's not even sure himself whether he's ready to leave the job he loves for a person that he's not entirely sure he loves just yet. Like, can you imagine throwing away the life that you've known and liked for a singular person? Is that actually easy for everyone? Of course, not.

It wasn't until Hikari finally realized his job was not as fun or great as he thought it was (not anymore at least) that he finally accepted he's in love with Dan. Hikari may be stubborn, messed up, and selfish, but he's only a human in pursuit of happiness. He will choose what makes him happy and what he thinks is more important.

But the point is, tho Hikari may be messed up and selfish, Dan is not.

He is selfless and genuine. *But maybe too selfless, choosing to stay quiet most of the time and not questioning what's wrong or what's going on with Hikari; why can't he choose Dan instead? But he knew it wasn't fair to take away the life and foundation Hikari already had (and made for himself) before he came into his life. So even if it meant Hikari can't be only his, he accepted it because that's a part of Hikari the he couldn't let go yet and respected Hikari's right to think and decide for himself. He just chose to wait and let Hikari make his own decisions without pressure or directly influencing him and respect these decisions -- is that really so bad? Is that pitiful? Should he have stripped Hikari of what he has worked for, earned and possessed as an individual just because he's his mate?

He is a strong, understanding and persistent alpha and through his quiet strength, even Hikari couldn't win against him. For people like the lost lamb, Hikari, Dan is a godsent and perfect match.

I wonder if momo's older or younger than manji...

I'm siding with redhead in this one. Yuyang need those words to wake tf up. When gentleness doesn't work, it can't be helped to use #toughLove
