I can't believe neither one confronted or had been straightforward about their past. Like, even if you don't despise the guy, you still need to know the reason/backstory -- he owes you that much at the very least! And Sanada shouldn't have acted like nothing happened if he wanted to do right by Itonaga. Why in the world did they think that their relationship will go smoothly and move on no problem by ignoring their BIGGEST ISSUE/DARKEST HISTORY with each other??? This is why the 2 MCs in Koe no Katachi had a more solid foundation/friendship despite the rollercoaster shit they had to go through.
Fucking reply! Tell you reasons why you're late or at least try to be on time when you meet up! At least reply even just once, at the end of the day. Even before you sleep. Heck, if you just reply to his text messages or call once, you don't even have to meet up every morning. Or "hey, sorry I couldn't reply all day. I just got home" or "I'm about to sleep" or even "hey, slr. Going to sleep now." That would have been reassuring enough! I don't think the younger boy would have felt so insecure if he just replied properly!
I still hope this will be continued someday (hopefully before I die) because I can't see Take's unconscious efforts go to waste -- I want to see him realize his feelings for the first time after examining the small things he did for Ume and hear the same thing from Ochi.
Like how he started taking an earlier train instead of his bike going to school so that he could go with Ume, how he let his bangs down because Ume thinks he looks younger this way, how he makes to time to hang out with Ume and spoil him with the things he likes like his motorbike, and how affected he was about the thought of Ume and Komatsu being closer than normal cousins. And even Ochi would tell him that they like each other so much they gravitate to each other and "can't stand to stay apart"!
I just... Please let him realize his feelings first before you truly drop this, Yoneda-san!

I want more from this author!! I didn't expect the consistent feelings and angsty undertones throughout the story but by Joe I want more kinky but pure (HA!) yaoi like this. And their art is actually really nice - suitable for showing twisted expressions as well as heartfelt/heartbreaking faces. Like, I seriously want more from this mangaka, and if there are other mangakas or manga similar to this, I'd welcome your suggestions.
