If I remember and understood it right, it (she) is some sort of malevolent force/spirit that has possessed the body of the real daughter.
Lelaians is this cult that seems to try to gather all magic for themselves for some nefarious reason. Leila would be their priestess? A leader of sorts?

I think it's because they want us to slowly come to the realisation ourselves, in the same way Penelope has to.
In one chapter, Penelope mentioned that Yvonne was dead long ago (we saw her skeleton) and recently she noticed that Yvonne didn't even have a reflection.
But since Yvonne can brainwash people, most see her as kind and innocent. Despite evidence pointing at the contrary...
Seriously, no wonder Penelope wants to stay out of the whole situation. "Yvonne" is terrifying (⊙_⊙ )

I don't get why there is romance anymore bc it seems like the Empress don't even like the emperor as a romantic interest anyway. But the plot feels like it is just getting dropped for..... idk what for but it feels so slow
The story sometimes feel like a horror. Maybe I am over thinking it but the way when she tries to do almost anything and then boom, we kept getting reminded that this is a game. At least she is thinking it is. It would be cool if the story changes into a cool lil horror or psychological. It would make sense bc I feel like if it was any other person that didn't want a harem, waking up into this world and wanting to escape and then seeing that you can't escape, that is horrifying. I kinda also wanna see her think about who she is more bc it feels like she knows but also it's kinda vague. The story is kinda cool and the art is good too. Them weird "spoilers" do be kinda just confusing folks tho
