They look so, so cute but as father/daughter really. I’m glad this story puts some effort into explaining the non-human instincts and his desire to not control her decisions and do us best to control his instincts.
I’m glad the trauma is slowly healing and that she has a stronger fighter spirit within her. I love that she has a past life but it doesn’t rewrite her personality.

Mom’s story was great! Hilarious and realistic, I would also lose my shit. I already have to marry a guy now his crush wants to make a scene on my wedding day?? I’m throwing hands. I’m really rooting for her and Berne! Neither of their loves deserved them. Don’t fight for people who won’t fight for you!
I really hope the message here is that not all love has to intense and dramatic, you can build a calm, happy, stable loving home with work, patience and dedication.
