From my opinion, tamaki and shii both have their own growing up to do. Maybe at this moment, Shii doesn't know what it means to be uninterested in sex as he's a growing up boy filled with sexual desire + he has a thing for tamaki since when he still didn't know what it means to like someone that way.
Communication goes both way and I think for this Shii had done his own communication enough. It's mainly just Tamaki being lead everywhere by Shii and didn't talk about his emotion, his conflicts, and his fear more to Shii. I do agree that Shii should just accept no as no but as a 1 year couple, he deserved to know why Tamaki rejected him regarding 6he sex issue etc etc

I think the beginning style is more on the "weak mc, fragile" style so when our mc transmigrated and the art changes, I simply thought perhaps it's because the MC carried herself with grace thus she appeared much mroe mightier haha but now it's soften back but not to the initial style tho and I prefer the recent new art where the MC is so.
