I’m moving to B--to to read this. They're a bit behind, but it's because they actually use humans to take time and properly translate.
Honestly, I’m sick of machine translations with zero human editing. Looking at you, KaizenScans. At the very least, proofread before uploading. The software struggles with even basic things like detecting trigger warnings and sound effects. Not translating sound effects is fine, but skipping those warnings..
Also, Korean is a context-heavy, pronoun-light language. The original text often leaves pronouns like I or you unstated, since the meaning is clear from context. But MTL software can’t handle that nuance, so it auto-inserts them incorrectly. I’ve spotted so many wrong pronoun insertions in these uploads that it makes the dialogue disorienting and confusing. I often have to stop and mentally decode who’s actually being referred to. A human translator would pick up on context and avoid those errors, but the individual behind KaizenScans doesn’t even speak Korean, and just keeps pumping out awkward MTL chapters everyday.

It's quite funny to see how the rating is slowing going up as more chapters are released. We've come to find out that the plot is plotting, and that it is not simply a toxic, black flag gooner series lol.
I mean- that’s mostly the case of manhwa with a ml being an irredeemable rapist- he have a tragic pst or smnthing so the readers can empathize or atleast know the context why he like that in his adulthood AHHAHAHA not that just because he have that childhood (unfortunately) the ml gonna be forgiven lol
Learning about a character’s backstory doesn’t mean the author is trying to excuse their actions. It’s there to show cause and effect. A tragic or abusive past can explain how they became who they are, but it doesn’t magically justify or soften what they do now. Context adds depth, not absolution. So why do some people always assume that any backstory automatically means the author or readers are excusing a red/black flag’s actions? This shallow take is getting tiring.

Right! I'm so tired of typing these same sentiments, every story I read with morally gray characters, I meet readers like that. It's time for some readers to use their logic to understand and read the story as it is, and not get swayed by their feelings ALL THE TIME, and blame the author for feeling that way.
I bet they feel bad for the seme (which is a valid feeling btw, because they are human) but can't accept the reality because the character is evil, they don't want to get their morals tainted, so they'll blame the author for writing this kind of backstory.
Like, common brothers and sisters, it's not bad to admit that you understand and feel bad for the story of the character, it doesn't necessarily mean that you excuse or justify their awful behavior.
When teachers understand your awful behavior in school, it doesn't mean you're free from the consequences of your actions, you'll still get equal punishment. They will only use your backstory to find the solution for your behavior and understand what the fuck is wrong with you. Same with the criminals interviewed in prison and checked by a psych evaluation, you can understand their past but it doesn't mean you cancel out their crimes and blame their victims.
Just like how some authors put those backstories, to spice the character's goals and motivation, to add depth to the narrative in the story.

Korean relies on context and often omits subjects, so MTL inserts pronouns (usually “I”) that aren’t in the original, leading to I/you/he mix-ups in the English translation. Chapter 1 has several alone. A human edit would help a lot. It's one thing to use machine translation, but KaizenScans should invest in a human editor and proofreader, as opposed to blindly copying and pasting and churning out chapters..
