Because the pacing is ridiculous and doesn't have any business being that fast if its not an adaptation like what? It had only been 35 chs and a lot of things already happened lmao
I mean yes, I love when things are not dragged but I feel like things are being unrolled too fast in this one. Like the arcs are too short. In the arc where mc runs away, there is a lot happening but nothing was given time to stew that it failed to give the illusion that the ml really spent a long time searching for mc. It felt like they found him within 3 days to a week lmao
I feel like there is no enough emotional investment to whatever is happening because a problem will literally arise in a chapter and then be solved in the same chapter or the next one.
But despite my complaining, I'll still be reading this coz I love not using my brain cells while still enjoying some cliché troupes ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
And the art improvement is a plus!

Granted that the smut is integral to the plot (i.e. gong needing to have sex to have some powers; and shou being tormented with perverted ghosts so he needs the gong to drive them away), I honestly would not mind reading a censored version of this lmao
I think I have been reading some pretty light and tame stuff recently that the smut ain't hitting the way it was before ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ or maybe I have read enough hardcore stuff lmao either way the plot and art is what hooked me in this piece!! Art is so crispy and plot ain't boring

Rereading the official translation is reminding me how much I love the second arc as compared to the current arc.
The third arc just feel meh to me tbh. I mean there's a lot of lore sneak peek buuut the charisma of Wang Yi in the second arc is just ヾ(☆▽☆) plus the I think we had more insight to the ml's character/thoughts during the 2nd arc

It's about to get mad sad for both the ml and mc. Really curious how the manhua will depict Lian Jue's emotions coz this adaption made him more stoic than I remember (or maybe my brain is just faulty)
My fave scene from this whole debacle is when ml lost it when mc disappeared from the hospital after the accident. Wanna see him lose that stone face and go crazy ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

I read it here (=・ω・=) it's a short read tbh

I remember reading somewhere about the novel's review that when Mujin appeared and the whole love triangle bs happen that the story kinda fell off and I totally agree rn.
It started with a healing sort of vibe; all that fluffy goodness. Now, it's all drama. Even searched for some spoilers and just disappointing tbh.
AND MUJIN'S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT ONLY HAPPENED ON THE VERY LAST CHAPTERS LYK????
