Finally decided to make myself finish this; it was so good in the early chapters, but nearing the end, it sucks so bad bro I’m sick

The ML is fucking clinically insane, like an actual psychopath and the only way to REALLY know if you’re gonna enjoy this read is how much you like red flag tops.

I’ll warn anyway before anyone goes in - he’s a violent, selfish, dick who does assault the MC an array of times.

Now onto the actual review.
I liked it and sometimes you like trash and that’s ok.

The ML is like actually insane and you find out pretty quickly bout it in the beginning. You know something isn’t quite right bout him in the head.
The MC seems to be kind of a pushover but not really - he’s just exceptionally kind to a fault. Hes not an unbearable character in my opinion either, I liked him as a character too. Only someone like him would deal with someone like the ML.

The most compelling part of the story isn’t exactly hte romance either - it’s the MC’s compulsion and incapability to fully shoot the loaded gun and the ML who takes said metaphorical gun and goes crazy with it.
The way the ML loses it and the way he interacts with the MC and others is just… compelling? Idk but it makes for an interesting read.

There’s no NPC here as an obstacle, only the obsessive and possessive ML.
I wouldn’t say there’s high stakes in the story either you’re just kind of along for the ride of the MC dealing with the crazy ML.

They’re both so fucked you’re just sighing towards the end of the story and saying to yourself, fucking finally.

Woo Yeon fine as hell, but I guess I’m just not built for angst filled red flag manhwas. This story is ass lol. Like what do you mean from start to finish it’s always the uke doing the chasing? Worse, bro got raped, and the moment the top started crying, he just forgave him?? Be serious

And the uke, man, he’s always crying. I get it, you’re fragile and skinny, but have some confidence bro. Even when he almost died, he’s still out here writing letters while the seme runs away “to protect him.” Like shut the hell up

After all that slow burn angst and emotional torture, we only get two chapters of them actually being in a relationship?? LMAOO what a joke. And there’s no fcking way the seme didn’t recognize Inseob at all when there were so many encounters and interactions between them, even minor ones. Doesn’t make sense at all. I don’t get why this is so popular, guess stories with rape and red flag dynamics are still being glorified. If that’s your thing, good for you, but I’m out.

Not my favorite, the rape does not fit with the whole “growing as adults” narrative bc that’s not how that works! I also feel the pacing is too fast for all their development especially like I’m confused if the two tops actually liked each other or not bc they were called rivals but they were also dating? Jin’s character was crazy and kinda filled with just stereotypes of moc like him being incredibly dangerous, out of touch and like cold, and like a rapist. And the bottom yelled at him for raping him constantly but are we not gonna talk about the way the other top dressed like a kidnapper and violently raped the bottom at his school!? And the way Jin was apart of it!? Like what the fuck is happening. The communication aspect was very realistic but the way of their development needed more chapters and longer development bc I feel no love between the three

I was barely holding on to this one, it was clear that MC does everything that the blond one wants, be it by pitty or love, it does not meaning that you can let someone that you clearly dont want to fuck you... and it lost me on the chapter 15, the r*pe "joke"? The poor boy was desperate and begging to stop, I was mortified reading it, and he accepted it like is was nothing after knowing it was his boyfriends?? Nope, nope ♂ for those who stays, good luck!
