Yes I completely agree with you. Although she should have communicated with her kids it would be really hard for her to stand up against someone who's been oppressing her all her life. Especially with the power and social status her father holds no one would be able to help her even if they tried because they wouldn't be on par with her father. This is just a really icky situation that she has to get out of herself. She needs to have her father click with one moment or one event other wise she'll forever be stuck in a lifestyle like this
