Man, I really like the uke cat form. Like wow, I'm not a cat person ( childhood trauma, kinda), but I just fell in love with his cat form, and want to adopt that cat breed one day. But Rio man, I barely like him as a kid, and now he is more annoying.... Don't know if I can get pass to chapter 3 :(. I really love the uke tho (/TДT)/

I noticed stories about cheating when MC is the uke. It usually end happy for the uke. I wonder if it is because most people have empathy for the bottom role more than the top. So the bottom has to be happy in the end. Like sort of biased form the viewer and author point of view. Do you guys think that view and author are more biased towards uke ? And if yes, then why? And if no, then why ?
In my opinion, I think many fangirls and authors ( in my country and from manhua, chinese novels, and some Korean manhwa) are much more favorable for the bottom. I wonder if because we reflect ourselves (as a women) on their role, or because we cause are more sympathetic for weaker position ?
If you view it differently, please feel free to correct me (●'◡'●)

I feel like that was to make the audience feel pity towards uke (in the sense that he's pretty pathetic and lost) but at the same time show that's he's, indeed, a 'human character' if you know what I mean? As far as I'm reading into it, there's not a 100% good person in this story which is actually really good! It makes choosing which side you're on really hard and I really like it since it seems sorta more alive?
It's much better than to have those stories of the quiet, shy uke, good-ass seme and a third one, who's fighting for uke by doing everything wrong and seemingly having no depth besides that. Maybe it's because I really dislike those black and white types of stories but it just feels boring everytime I read one, unlike THIS one where you can't really 100% hate or love anyone.
Hope that made sense, English is not my first language and I'm too tired to go over my comment to check if I sound stupid or not lol

First option. Definitely. A lot of users identify with ukes/bottoms. And they always give ukes a lot more credit. If seme would act as our MC did, he would be eaten alive and public enemy number 1.
Yaoi community is funny one. It's full of double standards. For example seme would be hated with passion for cheating but a lot of people overlook rape (probably because of rape kink and how rape is shown in yaoi -> romanticised, leaving no real impact on the victim, it's trivialised and normalized).
Semes would be hated for cheating, sleeping around, and mistreating uke in some form but in contrast ukes are very often even praised for such behaviours, called queens, that they are independent, confident and should show tops who is the real ruler here.
On the other hand there is a group which hate on ukes for everything, slut shame, victim blame and absurdly fawn over semes. But this is probably correlated to internalised misogyny (they see other women in ukes).

Well, in my book, cheaters don't deserve forgiveness and by taking back someone who's cheating on you either physically or mentally (yes, it IS a thing), you're an asshole to yourself. I REPEAT TO YOURSELF. This doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad person per se (because I wouldn't make the good/bad distinction in here at all, it's too complex to divide people in this category in real life as well). What I meant is that he's not 100% likeable to me. Maybe you're a fan of him and he's indeed the least guilty person in here but I really wouldn't like it if this was going in the direction of him being together with me MC.
To elaborate on that, you yourself are a mix of people you are with/are friends with. Yes, this is fiction blahblah, but if we're taking a deeper look at it, that's how I see it. If we're not, then yes, seme good, uke bad, red-headed guy badbad.

Well, I am usually biased towards the protagonist regardless of genre (it's a thing actually ~ https://www.reddit.com/r/AskLiteraryStudies/comments/docvdm/is_there_a_proper_term_for_a_protagonist_bias/ unless the author makes the MC super unlikable which is rare tbh. The main characters in BLs are usually bottoms - most probably because they are on the receiving end (as most women who engage in sex irl).

True, but yeah, it comes back to the point of why authors choose to portray uke as MCs. It almost feels like they project their point of view on the ukes and many authors are women. I wonder if they project themselves on uke, and wanted to give the uke ( in the cheating stories) good ending because it makes them feel good ??

I'd argue most people are pretty biased towards the main character since it's always the person we learn about the most - about their feelings, experiences, issues, traumas so we can identify ourselves with them more easily? The fact that the main demographic for yaoi is teenage/young adult women also plays a factor why the MC is usually the uke, since they face similar struggles.

Sorry for jumping in so suddenly, whilst I do agree with your statement, because the main demographic is girls/women that are invested in yaoi, a genre about men, I usually see them have a strong lean and bias towards semes. Of course being a bottom doesnt make you any less of a man, but it's been engrained in people that masculinity and "being a man" go directly hand in hand. I see constantly people saying the uke is too feminine, or excuse the seme for rape and harrasement; it all leads back to people feeling more attracted to a masculine figure and thus favoring them and excusing their actions.
I actually saw more hate than support towards the uke throughout the whole duration of the chapters being published(the hate is justified ofc).

Well, I actually have no sympathy for Chanwoo, but I think we should calm down. Let's accept that everyone has their own opinions and how they see things.

So, I know that the uke got pleasure from the pain, but I have a question :
Is he having pleasure with pain on the face or anywhere?
It seems to me that he wants to be slapped on the face, not anywhere else. That's why the seme is so reluctant to hurt him.
My reason : When he was young, his mom hit him on the head, he thought it didn't feel the same. During the fight, he also wants punch on the face. When someone fell on his face, he also feels turned on.
He said he liked it when Other guys hit him. Not girls. Also o don't think face was a specific area to be hit for him. He generally liked to be punched or if cked or whatever would give him pain I guess.
