I’m actually reading this one for the messy story because (maybe controversial opinion?) I think the way they draw all of the younger characters, ray included, is fugly … like why do they look like that omg
I got impatient and read it even tho it’s not the usual uploader… then was somehow surprised when the translation quality was bad
Am I the only one who’s finding this series really hard to understand?? I feel like the pacing is all over the place and the constant use of words that don’t get explained until the end of the chapter (by then I often forget what the context even is because of the pacing)
I would really appreciate if someone could comment under this helping me understand the story because where I do understand it I’m enjoying it a lot ╥﹏╥

But it is a complicated story in a very short series, I admit. That's why I'm adding all the notes to help others understand what they don't write.
I was most confused with the bit where MC got injected in the recent chapters. Did he say he was injected with inhibitors knowing that wasn’t it (because he heard the people that injected him say something else) or was that maybe a translation issue where they switched what term they used mid way?
It was the toxin but he didn't want to tell ML so he lied and said it's inhibitor. If you read it again the clues are there. He paused before he lied. He gets clingy (knowing it's the toxin and he doesn't have much time left).. He deflected when ml ask why would they give him inhibitor. He lied because there's no cure. So telling them doesn't help, hence might as well lie and spare ml then agony (especially when they are still deep in enemy base, it'll be dangerous if ML becomes too upset and lost control). I thought I explained why he lied. Apparently not well enough.

Don't worry you are NOT the only one, the pacing is terrible and they omit so much in the manhua to the point that the translator has to TELL US what happens
I have a horrible feeling that this is gonna be a situation where Jude jumps to frame Maythan for murder but Maythan will try and save/stop Jude and just end up falling off the tower himself…. Which would Segway into an amnesia arc knowing this series….

As someone who has now read the novel, the eye colour they’ve given mc in this adaptation is really throwing me off. It’s an actually important part of her character that’s described multiple times that her eyes are meant to be specifically a yellowish green. I guess you could argue that the colour her eyes are in the manhwa is green but like that’s really pushing it cos it’s much closer to blue, never mind a yellow-green???
I’m trying to think of it positively of it being blue instead of yellow but thinking that it’s different because she’s posing as the Real Leo. So maybe it’ll turn green when she goes back to the tower and she’s no longer “leo”
They’re just throwing out the fact that Ed has washboard abs huh. I hardly ever see fan service for the women in male protagonist series nevermind ones that are harem genre

Same! Especially after a few spoiler comments here, maybe it’s just an ‘in the moment, due to circumstances’ situation. Though we never know since it seems some manga etc vary from novel, which makes no sense to me personally!

Ngl I started reading this cos I thought “how ironic, it’s like the evil twin of preference for the possessor” based purely on the title but the premise in these first 3 chapters actually seems pretty compelling. (Not that the upload description does a good job at explaining the premise)

Omg I love the artist for this so much,,, like the artist actually made a functional knee brace design?? When almost nobody was going to notice ?? Peak character design imo
