He has other things in his life that he would prioritize, and thays ok. You can argue that testing her was wrong, but he was on the line. His PEOPLE we're on the line obviously he should test her. Drastic comparison but if u were a spy in north Korea would you trust a man you've known/loved for only a month or two with the lives of all of your family and everyone you've ever cared for? Lol obviously not. He's not the typical male lead in that he would choose to save the world over her, but he's reliable logical and all these other amazing things so why is she acting like he's evil? I really don't get her thought process and the story is starting to really frustrate me cos she doesn't see what's right in front of her
I kinda get you since i do personally like Winter too, but i think Penelope just feels more connected to Callisto since she has spent more time connecting to him(in a like friends kinda way where you make fun memories) than Winter and also her main goal never was to fall in love herself, it was just to make one of them fall so she could get back and winter proved to be unreliable for that.

I don't think she chose Ecklis over Winter because Winter was worse, i think it was simply because she thought Ecklis was easier target without much risk so chose to focus on him, and after he betrays her, she kinda doesn't trust him either. Also in the og plot, winter was the one who brings Yvonne so also another reason she didn't initially trust him

After the two get together, majority of the scenes are between Chase and Josh. We hardly see Chase interact without anyone other than Josh. However, once the two DO get together, there is maybe 1-2 moments where Chase is insecure and gets jealous easily, but bc of how Josh handles Chase, it's soooo satisfying. Josh is such a great character. After reading Kiss Me Liar, it's so refreshing to read about an uke that is confident and knows how to communicate. Their misunderstanding never lasts more than a couple of paragraphs.
But to answer you question, after Chase starts sleeping with Josh, his personality improves soooo much. Most of his stress and outbursts is due to his nature as a dominant alpha. As established in the world, if a dominant alpha doesn't regulate his pheromones through sex (or drugs), he's bound to go haywire. And that's what happened to Chase. Chase is traumatized by sex (thanks to Grayson) so he's never had sex with anyone other than Josh. Once their relationship became sexual, Chase immediately calmed down and more relaxed. Less prone to outbursts.
I also do want to point out that when Chase goes to meet Pete and the rest of Josh's family, he is an absolute darling. Extremely polite, soft spoken, and it's obvious from how he looks and talks to Josh that Chase adores him, which impresses Josh's mother. Even though Emma is prickly and says some snide remarks to Chase, he's still polite with her.

Can we stop popularising Mary Sue Manhwa where it's clear the author is projecting a need to be loved and adored onto their work? I sound cruel, but like the way it's done is SOOO BADD if she wasn't grown and in the body of a baby, like if she were quite littersly just a baby it would be been okay. if she was grown and in the body of a baby, but actually acted her age, genuinely did something to earn the unparalleled adoration she receives and did shit herself instead of being a whiney bitch then that would also be okay.
