i don’t like ao either ok it’s insanely naive to say violence is not the answer or at the very least a proportionate response in a violent situation like that just cannot be realistic. plus i don’t yet see any personality trait beside a kind gentleness that is stereotypical of their whole species so it doesn’t have to even be ao it could be any herbivore. the lack of distinction makes him barely a character. but yall hating on him for flinching after seeing people got beaten half to death + being threatened with rape and sex trafficking is ridiculous. why would you experience hero worship at the sight of a man that looks like he could kill you after having just demonstrated how he very well could? especially when nothing like this has ever happened to you before so you wouldn’t know the first thing about what information to prioritise and all you see is violence?? even more so when asuka as an adult is basically a complete stranger??? guys, do be serious.

jumpscare of the spin off universe aside, i genuinely do not believe that chiwoo would have ended up with jihyun in any universe. chiwoo’s reluctance to acknowledge jihyun’s confessions over the years made it really clear that he never considered him in a sexual or romantic manner so even if jihyun did not rape the guy he claimed to love it still wouldn’t change the fact of chiwoo’s feelings which would always have led to some kind of relationship breakdown because even without the violation there was still the isolation and the manipulation that came from jihyun’s possessiveness that was born of his fucked up family ruining his adolescent socialisation. so unless if jihyun was never jihyun to begin with, there never would have been a relationship between them.
