This chapter(link) is when mc saves the goblins from the wolves

You know, that bitch from bootleg Kandahar, who supposedly lost an eye to Ijin in the past. I assume he's gonna show up one of these upcoming chapters, looking for his nightmare fuel, being a pain in the ass to Ijin's family and friends.
I just can't help but imagine what might happen, once they finally face off against each other.
One-Eye: I finally found you. They said you went missing during a mission and guessed you died, but I knew you were alive. Do you know who I am?! [Or insert any other obligatory villain-speech that amounts to the same thing.]
Ijin: I went on countless missions during my time as a mercenary, mate, I killed hundreds and some may or may not be live. Realistically, how am I supposed to remember your run-off-the-mill face?
Yeah, I know, Ijin would probably not even answer, but just stare at him with a vacant look on his face, but I thought it was funny if it went somewhat like this. LOL.
Don't mind me.

I wonder if that's the one The Drinker always talks about ...
But jokes aside: Don't know if I want to read this. The premise would be interesting, but I don't like Gender Bender. And here, it's not like he can just revert back to being a guy. So is this going to be Yuri? Or is he gay now, but in the end, it's going to be hetero anyway? I mean, I can't stand either, to be honest, I just gloss over the romance if it's not gay, but it's going to be mildly irritating, if it feels like this COULD be gay, but didn't manage to be gay in the last second.
Well, we'll see, I'm just gonna wait for a few more chapters to be uploaded anyway.

... I'm gonna put it right back on hold, but with a bookmark this time, so I won't have to start from the beginning yet again, once I get back to it.
One of the things that made me stop reading time and time again, would probably be the fact that I think it's sad what happens to the MCs best friend. This is yet again one of these stories, where a creature or person pops up out of nowhere, usually somewhat forcefully, while there's a so-called best friend waiting in line, who would be a better catch by far.
I can't believe I'm saying this, as I'm into violence, blood, gore, rape, domination and all of this psychological shit you can find out there. But I really can't stand that chapter where the bestie is being led to believe he fucked his crush and is so happy, because he loved this guy for so many years. He already went through a lot and never told him, now his mind is being fucked with and he will probably never get what he wished for, as the MC himself is obviously gonna get together with Cain. I'm not even a huge fan of Cain, is looks are only partially my type and while I do love the human x demon ship as much as the next guy, those two aren't my favourite couple here by a landslide. I know it's supposed to be a source of drama, but I kinda don't understand authors that believe it's a great idea to stuff a character into their story, who would go ten times better with the protagonist than the actual love interest. I think they would be so cute together.
And no, I don't think his best friend will actually die by Sid's hand, as I believe that Sid is supposed to fall for him and vice versa, but this ship just doesn't sit well with me, I don't like it. The picutre of bestie at the end of the chapter he fucked Sid under falls pretenses for the first time alone, where he looks like he's gonna croak any second, actually pained me to see. Urgh.
So, I do like the story, but there's so much that irks me, I just can't seem to ever finish reading it.

I just read this whole thing and had to wait to make this comment, but: Doesn't it mean that the only reason, Skeleton Soldiers are being so majorly underestimated, is actually due to the fact that most summoners are sacks of potatoes that only move when they fall and roll on the ground and thus, the Soldiers are just as lethargic? That's a dig in disguise xD

Wayton probably spiked one of Louis' drinks with that White Kill drug and told him to wait outside as to not make anyone notice. But then Maetel came along and snatched him away first. It's obvious it was the drug, by the way he behaved and his memory loss.
But it's more than obvious, from the very first time he showed up, that it was probably Wayton who's the killer.
Because first of all: The victimology is too obvious.
The story will either use it to make room for Louis to be kidnapped at last or for him to be the reason this type of person is being snatched in the first place (or both, as in: he's the reason the victims are being chosen and he himself will be caught later on, too - that's also possible).
Now who would try and substitute Louis, if not Wayton, who was stood up, eventhough he already drugged him, to make him easy prey? And yes, I still might be wrong, but the story introduced a LI that's hard to swallow. For real, I don't like Maetel. Be it as it may, this investigation is neither a joke nor a game. Why put innocent lives on the line for his personal interests? Seriously?
So when they introduced a nice guy, that looked better from any perspective, they have to taint him now, otherwise, readers might still prefer the subjectively better option over Maetel. Making him a crazy murderer would do the trick for sure.
I mean, I understand it's for the novel, but the art is so nice. They could have rolled both if they went to that length anyway. It's kinda sad.
And on WuxiaWorld, you can only read the book if you are VIP. My balance right now is literally fucked, the last two months have already been trying, I really have to check every cent I'm spending for at least another month, so no can do. It's frustrating.
