I admit I didn't do more than just skim this, because it was so awful I just couldn't concentrate on reading it. If it had been decently smutty, then at least a little could be forgiven, but the smut factor wasn't even there. It was just bad. Did not live up to the summary. That was best part of the entire thing.
Akihito is a kid raised by a mentally ill mother and who is finally realizing how messed up he was raised and what reality is. I feel bad for him, and while he has a bad personality, he is growing. The Prince I have way more problems with. He just uses his body to manipulate people, even those he claims to love, and is constantly completely selfish.
Teppei grew up in a house with physical abuse, psychological abuse, and emotional abuse. And was abandoned by his mom.

You can't have physical abuse without psychological and emotional abuse (all three are implied). The possibility that someone can harm you at anytime, the instability of your life/emotions/mental state and the instability of the abuser's actions are an important part of abuse.
All so true. But what I find more sad of all this is that they all are neglecting Satoshi.
The mother is too busy with Teppei and Akihito.
Teppei is too busy trying to avoid him without taking into account what could really be the best.
Akihito is too busy being a victim and making noise.
I think mostly they all are too self centered, but they should try to give some attention to the youngest? You can't raise a teen looking away.
Yes! I'm so mad at this especially bc that mother took him from his grandpas who were both caring for him very much. It's clear she's picked up too much to pay attention to everything/everyone. This really frustrated me. Like, you didn't need to take him away from the two people that loved him his whole life, you could have just visited with him regularly instead. Argh.

You forgot to mention that Satoshi was abandoned by both parents, his grandfathers have essentially driven him out of the house (because of Akihito's schooling), and no one has yet to treat the kid like an adult and actually sit down and actually communicate with him. And he is slowly mentally breaking. His grades are a very obvious red alert sign, along with the fact that he is a person who has been mentally trained to think before he acts...and he STILL destroyed the cabinet!
Ah and Akihito? He himself has a sever mental illness, and needs to be attended to. He makes me cringe so hard. Someone, take the kid to a psych hospital asap, and get him some treatment. Who the hell is that continually suspicious of people to the point where they would go through ash remains? Along with his hoarding tendencies, and the fact that he is so narcissistic, it hurts to keep reading his actions!
As for Teppei, I didn't feel at all that he was going to sleep with the best friend. To me it felt like he took him to the hotel to sound him out...and well he IS a teacher, who DOES know the age of the young man. I can't think that he wasn't pulling him out of the bar, and stashing him someplace safe, so that he wouldn't get hurt by prowlers!
It was like watching one of those "pick up" artists. Step one, first you break down her self esteem. Step whatever, you dress her how you want her to look. He claims to love the kid, but everything was about manipulating him and making him do what he wanted, regardless of the kid's feelings or desires.
I don't even mind the time skips, but I also read all the chapters at once. If you are waiting for updates, I can't see how it would be possible to keep things straight.
Much worse than the time skip around is basically the lack of plot. It could be a good slice of life just showing a relationship build, but the time skipping around doesn't really add anything to the relationship. The dialog is mostly mundane, or confusing.
I love the fact this manga goes through realistic relationship issues that happen between long term adult couples. There isn't silly cliche drama. Also, it shows the flash backs of when they were young and just starting together, but it weaves that into their present story, not focusing solely on the young love aspect.

I can kind of understand the character. He is unsure of feelings and thinks he has to go out with girls to be normal. But the fact he has no hesitation at all about cheating in his relationships, forcing someone who is supposedly cares about into sex, and generally acts like a self centered brat makes him very unlikable. If he can't mature, the relationship won't last regardless of love. Even at the end he still completely disrespected his boyfriend by refusing to listen to him and talk and instead demand sex.
