Read this if u like seriously mentally ill S semes using disgusting methods (rape, harassment, stalking, manipulation, disception) to try to completely take over the uke's life. Shou-kun is strong & fking Fukusuke doesnt get his way, but Shou is obviously mentally scarred for life. Fukusuke doesnt recieve any punishment for his crimes. He should have been in a mental institution a long ass time ago and locked up forever. For some reason the police and investigators dont exist in these types of stories. I'm a fan of Harada but this story is my least favourite. I don't understand y it has an 8.9 rating, if someone knows please explain.
I also think that Fukusuke should have been reported to the police or something. He got off way too easy. But!! This is actually on my list of my favourite mangas. Why? Because it is actually quite realistic (in psychological aspects), doesn't romanticise abuse and (in my opinion) is quite well written.
I'm saying this because I have experienced domestic violence on the sidelines(through my parents) and the plethora of emotions that come with it. I felt like it was depicted so spot on when Shou-kun came back to work a day or two after Fukusuke tied him up and abused him. It felt so raw and I could relate so much to that fear. Constantly fearing what he'll do or say next.. Idk man, Harada is just really talented (￣∇￣")
It's a Harada story... That's kind of the point. Terrifying to the core. No justice, just fucked up shit with a hell of a plot and beautiful art.
I can only remember like one or two mangas of Harada that ended on a good note. The rest is just like this one but shorter.
