the side stories were ok. i really really enjoyed the main story. just we could've done without the memory loss imo.. and the 2nd side story felt lackluster, a miscommunication fest.

the parallels from S1 jk to S2.. oh my god.
in ch 46 after jk yelled at dan for the bday gift saying he’ll find someone else to do dan’s job if he slacks off again. folks this man couldn’t even do that. he went a MONTH alone without dan before he started going manic trying to find him. mr sex craze couldn’t even get hard with someone else. after he returned home in S1 from the hospital he was in dan’s former room staring out the window and sitting on the bed exclaiming how much he felt like shit. like he didn’t even go back in there at all after that. the cleaners were the ones who did after over a month of being untouched.
like do y’all even remember jk from S1. THIS FUCKIN GUY AIN’T HIM. yes the bar is in hell and he’s still an asshole don’t get it twisted, but he’s definitely changed.
S1 jk wouldn’t have taken dan to a hotel because dan said he didn’t want to go back to jk’s apartment. S1 jk wouldn’t have dragged dan to the doctor and keep him locked in the car so he couldn’t leave. yes we could’ve done without the sex in 68, but like when has jk ever asked for confirmation during sex if dan wanted to do it or not? and when dan said if he could take a break, do you really think S1 jk would’ve reacted how he did? YOU THINK S1 JK WOULD DELAY GYM TRAINING FOR SOMEONE?
S1 jk was overjoyed to see dan gone the morning after they had sex the first time. RAW btw, when he had sex with condoms w the other guy. jaekyung now is so fucking horny and whipped for dan and dan only. dan gone the next morning? jk wouldn’t even want to imagine that.

Good analysis, person! It's always refreshing to see one use their mind and analyze the story. Reading and re-reading goes a long way and many aren't willing to do that.
I do know statistically many aren't capable of deep analysis and critical thinking, which is troubling, however, I also know many AREN'T supposed to be reading this type of content.
There's a lot of change Jae went through in less than a year (mind you) and avid readers see it. It's the ones who hate-read whose goal is to simply hate of a story for fun.

I feel the same. the hate-reading is what gets me. at some point you gotta just acknowledge when something isn't for you and move on. but the constant complaining about jaekyung just cause is getting tired. wrap it up.

finally caught up and read. I got a lot to say.
tho very small in comparison to jk’s actions in S1, I think there really are some crumbs of change. It’s still progressing albeit VERY SLOW. It’s honestly on par with jk cause he deflects a lot and cannot acknowledge his feelings to save his life. he wouldn’t just say he’s in love right away. the chapters are also short too and the delivery could be better with more development but it is what it is. I’m still reading. my fav theory I read on twt was that since these are in jk’s POV they’re short cause he’s dumb lmaooo
this man is so whipped. he arrived in that town after a month of no dan and his sleep has gotten better. I really liked the talk granny had w jk on that little walk. when granny said she thought of jk as another grandson and the other stuff . when jk put the child lock on the car to force dan to see the doctor per granny’s wishes LOL.
then ch 68. *deep sigh*..minus the unnecessary sex, there was some info. jk’s OD stressed at the thought of dan leaving him. he gave him a squeeze in the bathtub. he’s never taken care of someone either as we learned from the bathtub scene too hahahah. finally carried him properly instead of throwing over his shoulder. I really don’t like the state dan is in, but I did like all the things he said to jk that’s forcing jk to deal with the weight of his own words. I think us seeing jk be so self assured is great too because he’s gonna be the one to crumble (I hope).
also, in rereading from start to finish, I noticed that jk was blushing during sex in chapters 28&29. he was also “nicer” (used VERY loosely, the bar is in hell) in those chapters too. then heesung showed up and shoved in his face that he might have feelings for dan, fighting to defend the fact his shoulder isn’t shit. he switched up real quick. but now this man blushing all the time. heart going badum badum at almost kisses and eye contact. kim dans lover boy for sure.
I think jk is gonna use the fact that dan’s granny asked this favor of him to bring dan to seoul to justify being dan’s “caretaker” because the doctor said so. The mans in tenterhooks or whatever the fuck over dan. but I also feel like dan can’t be contained and will eventually leave again when granny really dies. maybe then it’ll hit jk in the face how far he has fallen?
lastly, I think it’s a big fuckin deal jk hasn’t been to the gym since he’s so wrapped up in dan. clenching the keychain dan got him because he’ll “win”.. yea sure sure lover boy.
I’ll be back to read in June since I think the chapters are gonna get intense again lol

i was really hesitant to read this through at first since I don't usually read shounen ai, but i'm so glad I did. such a good story, and done so well.
the bullying, abuse, highschool and being too young to do anything. love how everything was depicted. oh man how I cried when jinhyuk read that letter. hurt my feelings so much. and when they had that moment in the hotel. sobbed. i hope they're happy forever and ever

i don't like bongsoo being so unaware of everything. the sex in ch 22.. jiwon asked him to wear a condom so many times and he didn't once. the chapter after jiwon wakes up and is like he didn't remember the night before?? bro what?? then bongsoo went and broke one of his limited edition figurines. i've read other stories where the bottom is inexperienced but at least they know how to read the room.. my god.
jiwon isn't any better either because he kept coming onto bongsoo noncon in the beginning. but jiwon did make it clear that he just wanted sex. but then also kind of lead bongsoo in a way too.. is it the lack of communication then? idk what it is about this story, and i don't wanna say it's poorly done just because i don't like it..
just idk if it's worth it to just push through and read it, do they get better, or is it like annoying until the last few chapters?
