Ngl this was really good in the beginning but fell flat towards the end. If you’re gonna do a revenge story, it’s should be done to the end (not saying there shouldn’t be a peaceful and sweet period of time at the end). I mean if you start the story brimming with wanting revenge, keep the energy all the way through. I could tell the revenge was not gonna be as satisfying as soon as the FL started defending the homewrecker. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth that the girl gets let off the easiest despite doing the exact same things as the man- which is cheat and homewreck. The way they gave her a sob story to pity her character to soften up her treatment bruh.
I’ll say it now, manhuas do revenge stories the best lmao. They’re ruthless and always pay back the revenge 10x worse with no mercy or pity.
Conclusion:
I loved the story but I have to admit that towards the end, the revenge plan became watered down as the FL started pitying the chick. The romance was kinda rushed and feels like we should get more after they finished the show, but I liked their moments anyways.

Oh and btw if anyone wants to know a revenge manhwa that has a more mature and serious tone with drama, I recently read “Innocent Wind.” FL was really hellbent on revenge, putting anything on the line, and was gaslight girlboss lmaoooo.

I think it was well done. Their revenge was successful without even trying. Their goal was to be homewreckers for their ex partners after all. Those cheaters were the cause of their own downfall and it was pretty satisfying. Would have liked to see more though. It doesn't really feel like the end. I neither expected Ju-ah to actually realize her mistake nor did I expect Geongmo to be such an idiot (not really surprising though).

I feel like they were too nice, but I mostly am dissatisfied with the lack of actual romance between FL and ML. Their relationship wasn’t built up well, feelings were a bit sudden imo and most importantly, we didn’t even get to see them as an actual couple. I hoped the show would take up like half of the story and rest would be their relationship, but it was just so stretched out. They have such an interesting dynamic but we didn’t even get to see it play out

True true. They're a totally different type of person from the one they previously dated. It'd have been interesting to see how it'd impact their relationship and all but we didn't get to see anything. They realized they developed feelings for each other at some point, confessed and that's it? ( ̄へ ̄)

I guess it all makes sense as to why the story went in that direction.
-Artist having personal issues with health and needing surgery so rushing to finish the story
-Agency and artist choosing to cut down the original amount of episodes from 70-80 to 50
-Original writer changed after Season one and was replaced by a new writer
Honestly wasn’t mad about the ending. I’m glad the artist gave so much info in the note too. I didn’t really have any expectations of where the story would go- I thought it was unpredictable, so I wasn’t disappointed in the least lol.
My only things were of course it felt a bit rushed. It’s a shame cause I loveee vampire stories. So hearing that the artist’s decision in rushing the story also was because they had contracts with future works they wanted to do, was a lil sad- cause I thought this trope is more interesting. Hardly much supernatural/vampire BL manhwa. And that I wish we got way more Dominic and Eugene sweet moments, just peacefully being together (extra chapters).

So I checked the raws and the author is dragging the main couples story. There’s 129 chapters and still ongoing.
The plus side is I think the side couple’s story is cute and entertaining (the 2nd ML’s story). But once it focuses back onto the main couple, it feels like the author just puts more random events. Just when you think the issue with the 2nd ML is resolved, the author decides to throw in yet another new guy to create drama smh. It doesn’t help that the FL is so naive and friendly with every dude that likes her. I saw one chapter where she’s at a club with new guy and people keep bumping into them, making them both hug each other two separate times. Like FL is holding a drink and she gets bumped and somehow she stumbles onto the new dude, her free arm wraps around and hugs his neck. She backs off awkwardly and then the new guy gets bumped and he also stumble hugs her around the waist.
Idk I feel like the FL just has a lot of issues.

The potential this story had in the very beginning was high. With the character designs and premise. But then the actual plot and writing of characters went downhill. It’s like every author that had a nicer romance work with no love triangle, decided to make a new story with a dramatic af toxic love triangle plot. (Author of fools, heesu in class 2, this author, etc). They all wanna follow some drama plot trend and it always turns out so ass. You can’t tell they suck ass at writing such tropes. Like pls leave it to the authors that started out with that trope and know what they’re doing instead of jumping into a trope you don’t even know how to write well.
I still don’t even get the purpose of throwing the creepy professor in there. Like what even is his purpose? To stir the pot?? There doesn’t have to be an entire character that does that to get some conflict into a story. The professor feels so useless and like the author just wanted to copy paste the appearance of their fave ML from the previous work. The professor just feels like some old dude that has nothing better to do with his life than mingle in his student’s business.
The characters are ass in general too. The ML is self explanatory. But the red head is just plain stupid. Like of all people to go to, you go to your professor?? What about your parents?? Do you have any other friends? What went on in his mind for him to think it’s normal to stay at a professors place for comfort.

It’s unbelievable that the sob story works on gullible readers but at the same time it’s not cause there’s always gonna be those types of people that sob stories will always work on.
Anyways spoilers for those that do have hope for gunner, thinking he’s “safe” for being familiar or deserves a second chance for their mid ass “happy memories:

Future dub-con rape(?) Another one btw in a car. Gunner is waving his gun around and cries as he shoots both of theo’s legs. Then they carry on like nothing happened.

This gotta be one of the most delusional BL fandoms I’ve ever seen. Just came back from multiple TikTok posts of people crying about seunghyun being with yuta and not with jaeil.
My issue is, a TON of people are babying tf outta seunghyun and thinking he’s some perfect angel. As if he isn’t apart of a damn gang doing all the dirty work and dismembering some dude in the first chapter cause he was mad about the wedding.
They’re mad that jaeil and seunghyun aren’t together (mainly cause they’re suckers for one-sided loves and want it to come true even when the other party doesn’t like the person), ignoring the father/son dynamic where jaeil picked him up when seunghyun was a child. But also are disgusted with the twins. So pseudo-incest is great but actual incest is not, for them.
They’re mad cause yuta SA seunghyun but stay ignoring when dooshik SA jooha and the gang rape situation. I swear this fandom picks and chooses based off their faves. Their logic is “if my fave did it, it’s okay, they must have had a good reason for it!! But any other character is bad for doing it!”

So props to the people that DO acknowledge whenever any character does a bad thing regardless if the character is a simp for the person they like.

Also the fact that a ton of readers mix up how green flag and red flag works. They assume green flag only applies to how the character treats their partner. THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS. In real life whenever a girl deems a man a red flag, they include how that man treats OTHERS too. An example is: your man treats you like a queen and worships the ground you walk on, but also is super disrespectful to your friends and family. Which should not make him a total green flag for only treating you nice.
Guess I was wrong, it was just a rushed af ending. Anyways would’ve been better if the story had the childhood friend as the ML. It’s like the author put the most screen time and work into him throughout the entire story and then gave him a bit of hope with misleading from the FL, then shut him down as he was the happiest. The end. Author was right, story was disappointing.
