I'm not feeling this story at all, I don't know if I can blame it on the youth and inexperience of the mangaka - but that date scene and then that flashback made me nothing but uncomfortable.
In a situation where someone pushes you (an omega) onto a bed, to then blame their physiology for TEMPTING THE MAN (alpha) is way to close to rape apologists for me to like. Especially since the omega in this case deals with a lot of work-related sexual harassment and blames themselves for the 'seduction'.
Juugi told kairi to run away when his heat came while they were in his bed on the boat. Remember, when they were on the bed initially he backed off Kairi and lay beside him while they talked casually. His alpha pheromones probably triggered Kairi's heat but still Kairi pulled him down and asked him to hold him. It looks like mutual consent to the rest of us but Kairi thinks that Juugi would have never looked his way if it weren't for the heat. He thinks Juugi should be with someone in an equal social class. He promised not to make trouble for him too...meaning he knew he would get pregnant but he wasn't going to blackmail Juugi or cause a scandal like those three omegas who claimed to have Kaji's offspring even though Kaji can't have kids.
I thank the author for this nonsense, I made me laugh like mad.
