I need to reach through the screen and squeeze Guwons dick and give him head (I would kill myself if I ever saw a dick irl) like holy fuckinf shit, that thing is a literal BIOHAZARD LIKE WHEN HE CUMS ITS GONNA BE A TOXIC WASTE SITE????
AND HIS EXPRESSIONS I CANNTTTTTT I CANT I REALLY CANT I HAVE TO GO LISTEN TO MALE MOANING AUDIOS RIGHT FUCKING NOW THIS IS INSANEEEE
Aint no way his father is abusive. Something happened to his son and he's genuinely concerned. His heartfelt reaction to Teach's gestures of kindness and compassion kinda hint to this. He feels so touched by what teach has done.
He's even more worried that townspeople will find out and report it to Guwon. It could be because of a severe sickness that isnt curable or a health disorder Woojun was born with, but wasnt disclosed with the others. One reason to hide this would be because townspeople need to contribute to the town in order to reside there, as the doctor has said. There is no use raising a child that's below optimal health, since he would bring everyone down. I also dont think the kid became a zombie, because in order to become a zombie, you need to die first. If Woojun's dad really did love his son like he appears to, then I think be in a state of distress or something. Either that, or he's found solace in seeing his son's corpse reanimated again and is experiencing psychosis inducing grief.
Guwon was never a person that didnt understand the complexity of relationships. He obviously sees everyone as below him or as subordinates and likes power play... He refers to people in his town as "puppies" which indicates hes their owner, and let's not forget the "backtalk" comment he said, too. Even if he doesnt understand this dynamic on a conscious level, he understands it subconsciously.
Which is why his astute kindness towards Teach was something to be studied with scrutiny. How can he all flirty and kind with him WHILE maintaining the power imbalance dynamic??? It doesnt make any fucking sense unless he's playing with Teach, forming a strong relationship with teach because he wants something from him, or-- there is no or actually, GUWON IS NOT A BLACK FLAG I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT
I dont know what to say about this one. The mood was very somber, way different from the ubeat nature of Kabi. Both characters have traumas that dont get resolved in a satisfying way, and the pacing is horrendous. I seriously like the idea of this story and this relationship, but it needed more time to simmer. At the end of the day, both characters feel extremely unstable and too emotionally dependent on each other. They say they've grown from their pasts but Im just not seeing it.
Also, Ikeda suddenly spotting Sasaki felt out of place, his obsession with maturity is confusing as well. Rio doesnt even feel like Rio anymore tbfh. It was a depressing story that never really picked up. One thing I did like was how "simple" their traumas were, like Im so used to physical abuse, violence, rape (Penetration, not assault like Rio's revolting brother did (Dont get me wrong, what he did was still fucking AWFUL)) death, etc-- the shit you see in all media these days- and how much it impacted them and their sense of relationships, because that's usually how it is irl. Just one moment, one touch, one second of social ostracization or embrassment or bullying can fuck. you. up.
